We are now fewer than 60 days away from Devcon, and we wanted to provide important updates and further details about how to obtain remaining Devcon tickets for everyone looking to join us in Osaka.

First, save the date: Wave 3 of Devcon ticket sales will take place on Thursday, the 15th of August at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST at Devcon.org!

Following the completion of this wave, there will be a few other methods available for claiming passes.

Addressing ticket demand, it is important to note (as mentioned previously) that more than two thirds of Devcon tickets are either discounted or free, and geared toward builders and students among other groups. The remaining tickets are sold through a series of publicly available “waves”, which have gone quickly.

That said, we also believe that there is more that we can do to give the general public a chance to attend, so following Wave 3 there will be a few other ways to secure your ticket to Devcon, some of which are experimental and utilize the Ethereum network.

Specifically, we will provide opportunities to purchase Devcon tickets outside of a wave by allotting remaining tickets in three different ways: Through an on-chain raffle, an on-chain auction to benefit an expanded scholarship program, and a final appeals round. More information on each of these ticketing processes will be detailed following Wave 3 sales.

Yuga Labs, the project behind the BAYC and MAYC NFT collections, has officially kicked off ticket claims for the upcoming ApeFest 2025, one of the most significant NFT events. As announced on July 14, BAYC NFT holders can now secure their spot for the event happening on October 24th at Area15, a popular immersive entertainment venue in Las Vegas.

BAYC members were given a head start to claim their ticket through the official ApeFest site, where they are required to place a $169 refundable deposit. This deposit will be returned once the holder checks in at the event by scanning their wristband. The tickets are free for BAYC holders, but the refundable deposit helps reduce no-shows and scalping.

Just 15 minutes after BAYC claims began, MAYC holders were also invited to claim their own tickets, using the same link and deposit process. The system ensures that both BAYC and MAYC holders have early and fair access, if available, before any public release. Holders can also bring one guest by purchasing a plus-one ticket for $269. However, this ticket is non-refundable unless canceled.

To claim tickets, users must use the Tokenproof app, a secure token-gated platform that verifies NFT ownership. Holders will need to connect their wallet, join a queue, and complete the claim within a 10-minute window.

This year’s ApeFest will take place at Area15, known for its futuristic installations, art experiences, and live events. Unlike past multi-day events, ApeFest 2025 will focus on a single, unforgettable night of entertainment, community bonding, and celebration. Like past ApeFest conferences, the BAYC team would likely debut new features and products that will keep the community engaged with the ape-themed IP.

An added bonus? The first 1,250 attendees who successfully claim their ApeFest tickets will also receive a free pass to ComplexCon Las Vegas, which takes place the weekend following the event. This pass is sponsored by ApeChain, a layer-2 blockchain owned by Yuga Labs.

ApeFest has become a major annual gathering for Yuga Labs and its community, and this year’s Las Vegas edition is expected to bring together thousands of BAYC and MAYC holders from around the world. It also solidifies ApeFest’s connection to the broader NFT and Web3 ecosystem.

It’s happening: Devconnect is coming to Buenos Aires, 17–22 November 2025. And we are bringing the first-ever Ethereum World’s Fair to the city.

The Ethereum World’s Fair is for the Ethereum community and anyone curious about what Ethereum can do in the real world. We’re starting in Argentina, one of the most active crypto hubs, to show how Ethereum can bring a nation onchain with stablecoins, DeFi, decentralized identity, prediction markets, games, and more.

Devconnect ARG will be different

Main venue: We’re anchoring everything around La Rural, so the energy (and everyone) keeps flowing through the main hub.

Ethereum World’s Fair: For six days, the whole venue will transform into the Ethereum World’s Fair. We expect 15K+ attendees to explore the app showcases, events, cowork, and other spaces in the main hub.

Application showcases: Hands-on showcases of Ethereum apps, and demos to see Ethereum in action.

Core programming under one roof: Kickoff Ethereum Day (17 Nov), plus other flagship events right inside the venue (some included in your main ticket).

Cowork & Community Hubs: Desks, wifi, meeting rooms, and topic-focused spaces run by the community.

Still decentralized: City-wide community events, hacker houses, meetups, and summits continue, but the heartbeat is concentrated at La Rural.

Three weeks ago, we opened the speaker and volunteer applications as well as the discount builder and student tickets, and we are excited about the quality of submissions!

This year, we’ve opened applications for those looking to attend Devcon with Builder and Student discounts, as Speakers, Supporters, Volunteers or as Press. But what about improvements for General Attendance passes? Today we want to announce the Auction & Raffle – A new method for ticket distribution and a way for you to save a Devcon ticket ahead of the regular ticket sale.

Today we are extending the deadline for speaker applications by one week. If you have not had a chance to submit an application to speak and would like to, head to the application form here. The new deadline to submit is July 5, 23:59:59 UTC.

Applicants will hear back on the status of their application before the end of July. You can find more info on the review process and criteria here.

The First Tickets to Devcon VI: Meet the Devcon Auction & Raffle

Ticket distribution is always a challenge when demand exceeds supply, and we’ve spent time thinking about new ways to give more opportunities to those looking to attend Devcon VI.

This year, we will be holding a pre-sale Auction & Raffle for the first Devcon VI tickets, with the help of the amazing TrueFi dev team.

In past years, Devcon ticket waves, scheduled over different days and times, were aimed at targeting a more diverse population than one simple sale. Still, there are advantages for those who are in the right timezones, or even geographically located closer to our physical ticketing servers. In general, our goal is to distribute tickets in as many ways as we can, and without asking most attendees to wait and refresh a website at a certain time (whenever possible).

How will the Auction work?

Both the Auction & Raffle will take place on Arbitrum, a layer 2 rollup that settles on Ethereum’s mainnet. We advise bridging funds to Arbitrum ahead of time if you wish to participate, and ETH will be the only accepted form of payment.

The Ticket Auction will look similar to a traditional auction: Participants can submit bids and the 20 highest bidders will each receive a ticket to Devcon VI, in exchange for their bid amount. The minimum bid required to participate in the Auction will be 0.25 ETH (a significant discount below the price of a General Admission ticket).

And best of all, proceeds will be donated to public goods! Oh, and everybody who participates in the Auction & Raffle will get a POAP NFT to indicate participation.

Note: Smart contract wallets like Argent & Gnosis safe will not be compatible with the Auction & Raffle this year. We plan to amend the contracts in future iterations to allow us to accept smart contract wallets.

How will the Raffle work?

Any participants who do not make the top 20 bids will have another chance to win 1 of 80 tickets to Devcon VI at the reserve price (0.25 ETH) through a raffle!

Each person who wins the Raffle will be able to withdraw any extra ETH above the reserve price. If you do not win either the raffle or the auction, you can withdraw your entire bid amount, minus a 2% sybil resistance fee.
