What you need to know

  • Google’s rolling out an update for Gmail that brings a new “Purchases” tab just in time for the holidays.
  • This new tab will only display your purchases/orders and tracking information with the “Arriving Soon” section at the top like your inbox.
  • Gmail is also updating its Promotions tab, adding a way for users to leverage what’s most important and “timely” offers quicker.

Google’s starting to roll out an update for Gmail that might make it easier to manage all those packages this holiday season.

There are two features on the way in this new update, as Google Keyword post explains those key details. Arriving in Gmail’s sidebar (in app and on PC), users will notice a new “Purchases” email label. Google states tapping Purchases will give you a “bird’s eye view of all your upcoming package deliveries in one simple, organized list.” From this view, users will find an “Arriving Soon” section at the top, similar to what you’d find in your primary inbox.

This is reserved for packages that should be delivered within the next 24 hours. Below that, users will find the list of emails containing those tracking details and order confirmation. This update is rolling out today (Sep 11) for all personal Gmail accounts, so keep your eye out for it.

Additionally, Google says the “Arriving Soon” section in your primary email, as well as tracking details within order emails themselves, will not leave.

The second update concerns Gmail’s “Promotions” tab. This tab will now offer a “nudge,” bringing up promotions and discounts that are timely, so you’re in the loop. More than that, a new sorting option, “Most Relevant,” is on the way, which Google says pushes Gmail to display promotions from brands you’re more likely to engage with. Users can sort by “most recent,” too, if you’re interested in just seeing the emails as they arrive.

Gmail for the holidays

Google, Gmail, and the holidays seem to be a regular thing as of late, as even last year, an update rolled out to help users avoid scams. The company implemented a new AI model in Gmail in December last year to determine what’s a scam and what isn’t. Google said its AI models were successful in blocking ~20% more scam attempts and are also reviewing 1,000 times more user-reported spam events.

These protections are still in place, and Google still encourages users to be vigilant on their own.

A Gemini update for Gmail arrived this year, making it way easier to take important dates and events from an email and put them into Calendar. If Google’s AI detects a date within an email, an “add to calendar” button will appear for convenience. The AI will automatically create an event centered around it, leaving you the choice of further editing that newly created event for clarity.

Bitcoin Core GUI balance does not match the amount between addresses in the inbound tab https://earlybirdsinvest.com/bitcoin-core-gui-balance-does-not-match-the-amount-between-addresses-in-the-inbound-tab/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/bitcoin-core-gui-balance-does-not-match-the-amount-between-addresses-in-the-inbound-tab/#respond Tue, 22 Jul 2025 09:30:07 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/bitcoin-core-gui-balance-does-not-match-the-amount-between-addresses-in-the-inbound-tab/

Bitcoin’s “address” is a bit of a false reputation. It would be better to call something along the line “Invoice Identifier”. Whenever you want to pay another party, we will generate a new address and tell you how to pay. When a transaction pays to an output script belonging to an address, you will see that the corresponding party has paid you. The payments will then be displayed in the (Receive) tab, and the wallet will track the new transaction output that the wallet can spend on future transactions.

Transactional output cannot be partially used. It can only be used entirely. If you want to make a payment, but only have a larger amount of transaction output, the wallet will create a transaction with one input and two outputs. One output to pay the recipient and another output to return to yourself from the transaction output using the remaining funds. This second transaction output is called a Change the output.

Alice has one transaction output equivalent to 1 BTC and I want to send BOB 0.1 BTC.

    Inputs Outputs
 ----------------------------------
                     Bob 0.1 BTC
  Alice 1 BTC ↦
Alice 0.9 BTC ⇐ Change output

The change output is sent directly from the wallet to a new output script generated by the wallet. Because they did not “claim” other parties, the wallet will not surface the “invoice identifier” on the tabs they received. However, the change output is part of the wallet’s funds, contributing to the balance. Like other funds, change output can be used to spend on your wallet. After contributing to balance, the change output will be displayed on an advanced screen such as: Joint trolls A window for manually funding. As far as I know, all actions are working as intended. There is no need to move funds from the change output to the new address.

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra surfaces in new leak with a boosted flagship MediaTek chip https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s11-ultra-surfaces-in-new-leak-with-a-boosted-flagship-mediatek-chip/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s11-ultra-surfaces-in-new-leak-with-a-boosted-flagship-mediatek-chip/#respond Fri, 13 Jun 2025 23:06:36 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s11-ultra-surfaces-in-new-leak-with-a-boosted-flagship-mediatek-chip/

What you need to know

  • Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra reportedly raced through Geekbench’s performance test with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus SoC.
  • Despite the stronger chip, the tablet supposedly score “lower” than phones; however, it features 12GB RAM and Android 16 (One UI 8).
  • Previous Tab S11 series leaks claim Samsung will return the base model and drop the Plus, while also giving the Ultra a slightly bigger battery.

Amid all the Samsung leaks as of late, a recent one claims that the company’s upcoming Ultra tablet has appeared in a benchmark database.

Spotted by the folks at Gizmochina, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has reportedly run through Geekbench for its performance test checks and balances. This appearance was likely for its rumored chip, which the leak claims is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus SoC. Strangely, the publication reports the tablet scored “lower than smartphones” with MediaTek’s flagship chip.

The Geekbench listing reportedly states the S11 Ultra achieved a score of 5,312 in its multi-core test and 1,420 in the single-core run.

There were some smaller specs posted in the listing, like the existence of Android 16 and 12GB of RAM. Still no word on its internal storage; however, there’s a chance Samsung could pop 256GB in it to match that 12GB of RAM, like the Tab S10 Ultra.

An Ultra Look

The latest Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra leaks bring new information forward while also switching up the narrative on a key specification: its SoC of choice. In a previous leak, the tablet was rumored to receive MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC from late last year. This chip was the company’s flagship response to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, what this alleged Geekbench listing purports is the brand’s updated (and upgraded) variant.

The Dimensity 9400 Plus offers a Big Core design with one Arm Cortex-X925 core at 3.73GHz. The company was adamant during its launch that this chip could “propel” users’ experience with Android UX. What’s more, the chip is paired with the 12-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU for “PC-like” graphical features on Android phones.

The SoC launched in April, and it seems Samsung could opt for this leveled-up version of MediaTek’s flagship prowess.

Other Galaxy Tab S11 series rumors claim Samsung will drop the Plus model in 2025, bringing back its base model, which was absent last year. While the base model could see a familiar 8,160mAh battery, the Ultra model might jump 500mAh to ~11,374mAh.

Speculation claims Samsung might hold onto its next flagship tablet series until after its summer Unpacked. This means we might not see them until the fall at the latest.

Introducing the new Markets tab on Kraken Pro web https://earlybirdsinvest.com/introducing-the-new-markets-tab-on-kraken-pro-web/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/introducing-the-new-markets-tab-on-kraken-pro-web/#respond Thu, 13 Mar 2025 15:09:01 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/introducing-the-new-markets-tab-on-kraken-pro-web/ Sometimes, opportunity hides in the bigger picture. It’s not just about zooming in on a single asset’s price chart—often, you need to survey the entire crypto landscape to see where trading potential emerges. That’s why we’re excited to unveil Kraken Pro’s all-new Markets tab. It gives you a macro-to-micro view of digital assets, categories, and market pairs in one place, making it easier to find your next trading move!

Navigate crypto at a glance with category indices

Under the hood, we’ve designed 14 broad asset categories, from Layer 1 and DeFi to Gaming and Meme Coins, each represented by a dedicated “index.” Using the CF DACS Digital Asset Classification Structure, we’ve built a simplified taxonomy to group similar assets together.

Within each category index, you’ll see overlay charts showing 1-day, 1-week, 1-month, 3-months, and 1-year percentage changes. This snapshot helps you quickly spot whether a sector is bullish, bearish, or range-bound. For example, if Layer 2 coins show upward momentum in the past 24 hours, you can drill down to see which specific tokens are driving momentum.

Digging deeper: Category index markets

Curious which assets power a specific category index? Just click into it to view the individual assets and their percentage weights by market cap. For instance, in Layer 1, you’ll find big names like Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA), each contributing to the overall index performance. If you spot an individual token outperforming its peers, you can easily jump over to its dedicated trade page.

Info: Index pricing and categorization are provided by CF Benchmarks, a leading regulated digital assets index provider.

Visualize market sentiment with the heatmap

Pictures speak louder than numbers. Our new heatmap feature translates performance data into a color-coded grid. Shades of green indicate positive price changes, while red signals negative movement. Lighter tones reflect bigger moves, and darker tones represent smaller fluctuations. You can even configure the area each category (or asset) takes up on the grid by relative market cap or Kraken trading volume.

  • Category Indices Heatmap: Visualize how each category index (e.g., DeFi, Layer 2, Payment & Value, etc.) is faring relative to others.
  • Category Index Markets Heatmap: Dive into a single category’s inner workings. Track each constituent asset’s 24H performance in an instantly scannable layout.

If you see a bright green box in a sea of neutrals, that might indicate a breakout asset in a dull market — an opportunity to research further.

Filter and sort 1,200+ market pairs in the new table

For the final layer of detail, the Markets tab includes a screening tool listing all available pairs on Kraken Pro. You can:

  • Customize columns See price, 24H price change, 24H volume, futures funding, price sparklines and more
  • Sort each column to surface top gainers, biggest volume movers, or easily scan for high or low prices.
  • Filter by quote currency (USD, EUR, BTC, etc.), token ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana), or even “Hot” markets—those with the highest percentage volume change in the last 24 hours

Auto-filter from Indices: If you’re already viewing a category index or its heatmap, the table below displays only the relevant markets in that category.

Whenever you spot a pair you want to trade, simply click on it (either from the heatmap or the table) to jump straight into its Trade page on Kraken Pro—no extra steps required.

How traders can use the Markets tab to seize opportunities

  1. Spot sector-wide trends: Are payments tokens on the rise? Is Layer 2 showing a sudden price shift? By checking each Category Index, you can tell if a broader sector is bullish or if isolated assets are outperforming.
  2. Drill down to the best performer: Once you identify a hot category, quickly pivot to the Category Index Markets or the heatmap to zero in on the top movers.
  3. Filter out the noise: With over 1,200 pairs, focusing on what matters can be a challenge. Use the table’s filter and sort features to surface exactly what you’re interested in—like high-volume altcoin trades or stablecoin pairs with unusual price action.
  4. Seamless transition to trading: Found something worth trading? A single click on the market pair takes you straight to the Kraken Pro trade page. In fast-moving markets, speed is everything.

Take the market pulse at a glance

Crypto doesn’t stand still; neither should your analysis tools. Our new Markets tab is designed to help you cut through complexity, discover hidden gems, and move on opportunities faster. Dive into sector-wide insights, visualize performance in a single glance, and execute trades seamlessly—all within Kraken Pro.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus leak drops, and suddenly the previous model looks tiny https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s10-fe-plus-leak-drops-and-suddenly-the-previous-model-looks-tiny/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s10-fe-plus-leak-drops-and-suddenly-the-previous-model-looks-tiny/#respond Thu, 27 Feb 2025 12:43:12 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/galaxy-tab-s10-fe-plus-leak-drops-and-suddenly-the-previous-model-looks-tiny/

What you need to know

  • The Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus is rumored to sport a 13.1-inch display, making it larger than the 12.4-inch S9 FE Plus.
  • The regular S10 FE is reportedly sticking to 10.9 inches, just like last year’s model.
  • Expect different RAM and storage options, with the top model featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

A new rumor claims that Samsung is gearing up to give the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus a bigger display, outshining its predecessor in screen size.

We’ve already heard a lot about the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE Plus in terms of their processor, memory, and connectivity specs. But one thing was still up in the air: how the S10 FE Plus’s size stacks up against the S9 FE Plus. Thanks to Roland Quandt, we finally have the scoop on that missing piece of the puzzle (via SamMobile).

According to the tipster, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus is set to feature a 13.1-inch display, while the standard S10 FE is expected to have a 10.9-inch screen, like last year’s model.

For context, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus has a 12.4-inch display, while the standard S9 FE comes with 10.9 inches.

The previous models have proven to be solid alternatives to Samsung’s flagship tablets, offering a balance of affordability and performance. Now, to make the Tab S10 FE Plus even more enticing, Samsung seems to be upping the ante with a noticeably bigger screen.

If these specs turn out to be true, Samsung’s budget-friendly tablet could outshine the iPad Air 13’s 12.9-inch display.

Even with its sizable 13.1-inch display, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus is still smaller than Samsung’s high-end Tab S10 Ultra. But with a much lower price tag, it gives buyers a solid big-screen option without breaking the bank.

At the same time, Quandt confirmed that both tablets will come in multiple setups, with options for different memory sizes. The top-tier versions are tipped to pack 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Sticking to the budget-friendly approach of the Tab S10 FE series, it’s expected to run on the Exynos 1580 chip. While it’s not a powerhouse, this mid-range processor from Samsung should handle everyday tasks just fine.
