We’re going into degen territory today, folks.

If you opened Crypto Twitter, you prolly noticed a lot of people talking about Kanye West.

And no, this time it wasn’t because he said the most unhinged, outrageous, and cancellable sh*t you’ve heard in your life.

This time, he promoted a memecoin called YZY:

According to the website, YZY’s supposed to be the currency powering transactions within “YZY MONEY,” a “financial system built on crypto rails.”

But it ended up being yzy money for insiders, who, according to Conor Grogan, a director at Coinbase, held at least 94% of the total supply.

The coin reached a $3B market cap in under an hour, then crashed back down to around $1B just as quickly.

Is anyone surprised? Absolutely not. Almost every celebrity memecoin to date has ended the same way – fast pump, faster dump.

Aaand there’s more tea. Some crypto influencers are convinced that Hayden Davis might be behind the YZY launch.

If you’re unaware of this dude – Hayden was involved with the LIBRA token rugpull (we broke that drama down here).

And people are connecting him to YZY because some things line up a little too well:

👉 The launch looked exactly like LIBRA’s – no website, no whitepaper, no docs. Just a well-known person posting the contract address;

👉 The hype wasn’t organic either – a bunch of the same X accounts that hyped Davis’ old projects started shilling YZY;

👉 YZY launched with barely any liquidity, which caused a quick price increase before liquidity shifted and insiders dumped. This also happened with LIBRA;

👉 And the timing was the final red flag: YZY launched only hours after a court unfroze Davis’ $57M in USDC from the LIBRA case.

Now, why are we even talking about this?

Well, partly so you can understand why your degen friend won’t shut up about it today (and you can tell ’em you read about it in your fave newsletter 😌 The Daily Squeeze, of course 😌).

But more importantly, it’s a reminder: celebrity memecoins are some of the riskiest bets in crypto.

👉 Most have no product, roadmaps, or real utility, and their price depends entirely on hype;

👉 Insiders and early buyers usually dump at the top, and regular investors are left with heavy losses.

That’s why investors need to treat celebrity tokens as short-term speculation at best. If you’re buying, know you’re betting on hype cycles and attention spans – not long-term adoption.

Crypto Bleeds Ahead of Powell's Jackson Hole Speech — Eight Reasons Traders Are Nervous https://earlybirdsinvest.com/crypto-bleeds-ahead-of-powells-jackson-hole-speech-eight-reasons-traders-are-nervous/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/crypto-bleeds-ahead-of-powells-jackson-hole-speech-eight-reasons-traders-are-nervous/#respond Tue, 19 Aug 2025 23:31:45 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/crypto-bleeds-ahead-of-powells-jackson-hole-speech-eight-reasons-traders-are-nervous/

Cryptocurrencies and related stocks extended losses Tuesday as traders braced for the release of the Fed’s release of the FOMC minutes on Wednesday and Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s Jackson Hole speech on Friday.

Bitcoin dropped 3.2% in the past 24 hours to slip below $114,000, while ether fell 5.3% to under $4,200. XRP tumbled 6.2%, Cardano’s ADA slid 8% and the broader crypto market was down 3.2%. Shares of crypto-related companies, such as bitcoin miners, crypto exchanges and digital asset treasury firms suffered even bigger losses, with MARA, COIN and MSTR closing today’s regular session down 5.72%, 5.82% and 7.43%, respectively.

By contrast, in general, U.S. equities suffered less: the Dow ended flat, the S&P 500 fell 0.59%, and the Nasdaq slid 1.46%. The disparity underscores how digital assets, which rely heavily on cheap liquidity, are more exposed to shifts in rate expectations than traditional stocks.

Investors now face a pivotal calendar. On Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. ET, the Fed will release minutes from the FOMC meeting held July 29–30, offering insight into policymakers’ tariff and inflation debates. From Aug. 21–23, central bankers gather for the Jackson Hole symposium, with Powell’s keynote set for Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. ET. Together, the minutes and Powell’s speech could define market expectations for the September policy meeting.

Tariffs’ Delayed Bite

Many companies have absorbed tariff costs to protect market share, but analysts warn they cannot do so indefinitely. Once passed on to consumers, these costs could drive prices higher and force the Fed to wait before cutting.

Sticky Inflation Data

Despite some cooling, inflation gauges remain elevated. The producer price index, a key wholesale measure, has been hotter than forecast, suggesting persistent pressures that complicate any case for aggressive easing.

Corporate Limits

U.S. executives have signaled they will eventually be forced to shift tariff costs downstream. If that happens, consumer inflation could accelerate in the coming months, making a September cut seem premature.

Mixed Economic Signals

The U.S. economy shows both slowing job growth and resilient consumer demand. This uneven picture could encourage Powell to argue for patience until the Fed has clearer evidence that growth can withstand tariff-driven costs.

Policy Uncertainty

Tariffs intersect with fiscal and trade policies in unpredictable ways. That complexity increases the risk of missteps, making a hawkish tone at Jackson Hole more likely.

Lessons From History

The tariff shocks of 2018–2019 produced delayed but meaningful inflation, prompting Fed caution. Powell may draw on that precedent to justify holding back this time.

Forward-Looking Indicators

The upcoming release of fresh economic data, including Thursday’s release of preliminary August data on manufacturing and services activity, could show tariff-related cost pressures building. Powell could point to these as another reason for prudence.

Internal Divisions

Minutes from the July FOMC meeting may reveal a split inside the Fed. With hawks focused on inflation and doves emphasizing jobs, Powell may stress the need for consensus, which often favors waiting.

For crypto, the stakes are clear. Higher-for-longer rates curb the liquidity that fuels speculative rallies, raising financing costs for miners and weighing on exchange activity. If Powell signals caution, the sell-off in tokens and crypto-linked equities could deepen. A dovish surprise, however, might offer the spark for a rebound.

At a White House press conference on Friday, Donald Trump once again declared his support for Bitcoin, calling it “surprising” and pointed to an increase in use in the economy.

It has become amazing. So it’s the job it produces and I’m going to realize you’ll pay more and more with Bitcoin. People say it puts a lot of pressure from the dollar, and that’s great for our country. – Donald Trump in the latest White House speech

In this article, we’ll quickly touch on Trump’s latest procrypt comments, how it could trigger another altcoin rally, and how you can buy the best code if you want to take advantage of momentum before your next leg goes up.

Trump says Bitcoin is alleviating tensions in the dollar

Briefly, the most notable part of Trump’s speech was his claim that Bitcoin is easing pressure from the US dollar. This is “a much more important statement than it appears,” says Anders, a digital asset researcher.

According to Anders, Trump’s comments suggest that he understands the “triffin dilemma.” This has been a long-standing economic paradox and I’m keen on using cryptography to solve it.

The Triffin dilemma is a term used to describe the conflicts facing countries where the currency (US dollar) functions as the global reserve currency (in this case, the US).

Trump's latest White House speech

The “dilemma” is to increase the US dollar by increasing global demand, while this strength will increase the country’s trade deficit. The stronger the dollar, the cheaper the imports and the more expensive the exports.

Using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and XRP is a “US-made” crypto over $BTC, but could help ease pressure on USD.

If the investment is flowing in the form of $BTC rather than $USD, it will reduce demand for the dollar, weaken it, and thus correct the trade deficit.

Overall, Trump’s new support adds momentum to the code story. Place Bitcoin (and potentially other tokens) as a true strategic financial tool.

With that in mind, there are several ciphers that can benefit from the latest taps on the shoulder of Bitcoin.

1. BTC Bull Token ($btcbull) – Best cipher to buy now, offering free $btc airdrop

BTC Bull Token ($btcbull) First and foremost, it is one of the best cryptos to invest in as it is the only one that offers free $btc for token holders.

Buy and store $ btcbull The best walletand whenever Bitcoin exceeds $150,000 and $20,000 for the first time, you will automatically receive a free $BTC share.

BTC Bull Token ($btcbull)

Additionally, keeping a BTC bull token will also strengthen your crypto portfolio. This is because tokens are projected to surge 277% by 2026 to reach $0.0096.

Currently, the price of one $BTCBULL is only $0.00258, and the project has raised over $7.6 million (and counts) in early investor funding.

Another reason for this new Crypto’s potential bright future is its token burn mechanism. Simply put, developers will shave part of their total supply of tokens as Bitcoin prices rise.

This creates artificial rarity and upward price pressure, especially during the Bitcoin Bull run. This is a smart way to align the growth of tokens with the momentum of Bitcoin.

2. Bitcoin Hyper ($Hyper) – Place the Bitcoin Blockchain on Steroids

Bitcoin is definitely OG’s crypto and blockchain, but it wasn’t actually built with Web3 adoption in mind. In contrast to Solana’s 2K-3K TPS, it only handles seven transactions per second. input Bitcoin Hyper ($hyper).

This new meme coin from Presale is intended to build a first-time Layer 2 on Bitcoin, which directly tackles the issues of scalability and programmability on the network.

Utilizing standard bridges and integrating Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) to convert $BTC from traditional L1 assets to fast, scalable L2 assets.

Bitcoin Hyper ($hyper)

You can use this “wrapped” Bitcoin in L2 to use fast lightning payments and swaps, Defi apps, NFT platforms, and gamedap lending and staking.

$Hyper is currently in Presere. So you can buy it at a low price of $0.012075. The pre-sale is fresh from the oven, but has accumulated a thick $1.7 million worth of $17 so far. Here’s how to purchase:

3. Useless Coins (for $) – Virus New Meme Coins with no intrinsic value or utility

The useless coin ($fouseless) is the latest and perhaps the perfect microcoin of what meme coins really represent. A community-driven degens fun with no real utility or intrinsic value.

Unusable coin (for $)

With no dyeing, governance mechanisms, or revenue generation outside of liquidity charges, $ actors rarely meet all of the other so-called utility tokens currently flooding the market.

It was released a few weeks ago and has already won over 92%.

The uselessness of $ now trading at $0.1665 is what we talk about, hitting the new all-time highs, so this may be a good time to get in.

I’ll summarize

Donald Trump’s latest remarks on Bitcoin signaling provide new support for the crypto world. BTC Bull Token ($btcbull) and Bitcoin Hyper ($hyper) You can spike large amounts of time.

That said, keep in mind that investing in crypto is extremely dangerous. This article is not financial advice, so invest only after doing your own research.

‘I Expect Huge Benefits from This Market Innovation’: New SEC Chair Signals Crypto Policy Shift in New Speech https://earlybirdsinvest.com/i-expect-huge-benefits-from-this-market-innovation-new-sec-chair-signals-crypto-policy-shift-in-new-speech/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/i-expect-huge-benefits-from-this-market-innovation-new-sec-chair-signals-crypto-policy-shift-in-new-speech/#respond Sat, 26 Apr 2025 19:17:12 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/i-expect-huge-benefits-from-this-market-innovation-new-sec-chair-signals-crypto-policy-shift-in-new-speech/

It’s the dawn of a new crypto era for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

New SEC Chair Paul Atkins, who was sworn in this week, spoke at the regulator’s third “Crypto Task Force” roundtable on Friday and talked up the potential of digital assets.

He also lambasted the SEC’s previous regulatory approach toward the sector.

“This is important work as entrepreneurs across the United States are harnessing blockchain technology to modernize aspects of our financial system. I expect huge benefits from this market innovation for efficiency, cost reduction, transparency, and risk mitigation. Market participants engaging with this technology deserve clear regulatory rules of the road. Innovation has been stifled for the last several years due to market and regulatory uncertainty that unfortunately the SEC has fostered.”

His language represents a stark contrast to the approach of previous chair Gary Gensler, who oversaw high-profile enforcement actions against numerous crypto firms, including industry giants Binance, Kraken, Coinbase, Ripple Labs, Uniswap Labs and Consensys. Since Gensler stepped down in January, all of those cases have been closed.

Atkins also asked crypto stakeholders on Friday for input on the challenges of existing securities laws.

“For example, are changes needed to the custody rules under the Exchange Act, Advisers Act, or Investment Company Act to accommodate crypto assets and blockchain technology? Is the ‘special purpose broker-dealer’ regime workable for market participants, or is a new crypto asset broker-dealer framework needed? The market itself seems to indicate that the current framework badly needs attention.”

TON Society celebrates Pavel Durov leaving France as free speech win https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ton-society-celebrates-pavel-durov-leaving-france-as-free-speech-win/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ton-society-celebrates-pavel-durov-leaving-france-as-free-speech-win/#respond Sat, 15 Mar 2025 19:03:35 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ton-society-celebrates-pavel-durov-leaving-france-as-free-speech-win/

The Open Network (TON) Society released a statement on March 15 celebrating the return of Pavel Durov’s passport as a win for freedom of speech, online privacy, and innovation.

According to the AFP news agency, Durov left France and headed to Dubai on the morning of March 15 after gaining permission from French officials to depart the European country.

“We have stood behind Pavel since his arrest on August 24, 2024,” the TON Society wrote. The group added:

“Pavel’s unwavering commitment to freedom of speech and transparency, despite facing the most challenging of circumstances, is a powerful reminder of the importance of standing by your principles, even when it is politically and personally detrimental to do so.”

The TON Society previously penned a letter condemning the French government for detaining Durov and urging the country to release the Telegram founder.

“The arrest of the Telegram founder, Pavel Durov, is a direct assault on a basic human right — the freedom of expression of everyone,” the TON Society’s Aug. 27 letter read.

At the time, the organization also called on the United Nations, the Council of Europe (CoE), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the European Union (EU) to intervene and push for Durov’s release.

Free speech advocates in the crypto industry sounded the alarm over Pavel Durov’s arrest, citing the troubling implications for privacy and decentralized technologies in the face of state pressure to censor the internet and the potential for regulatory capture.

Emmanuel Macron denies political motivation for Durov’s arrest

Shortly after French law enforcement officials detained the Telegram founder, President Emmanuel Macron denied the arrest was politically motivated and claimed that France was committed to free speech.

In a subsequent press conference, Macron also denied inviting Durov to France amid a torrent of backlash from the crypto community and free speech advocates.

Chris Pavlovski, the CEO of the free-speech video platform Rumble, announced that he safely departed Europe shortly following the detention of Pavel Durov.

In an Aug. 25 X post, the CEO said that the French government threatened Rumble and condemned state authorities for the crackdown on free speech.

In the first major speech to Congress of his second term, President Donald Trump made clear that he intends to barrel ahead with the MAGA agenda.

Unsurprisingly, he cast the past 43 days of disruption and controversy as filled with historic wins, the greatest of any president in history (George Washington was number two, he said). And while he offered few new details on what he planned going forward, it’s obvious we should expect more of the same.

For instance, Trump sounded enthusiastic about expanding his trade war, hyping a new round of “reciprocal tariffs” he says will go into effect April 2. These tariffs, he claims, are on countries that have their own tariffs on US goods — or that have value-added taxes. He mentioned the European Union, India, Brazil, and South Korea as tariff targets, in addition to China, Canada, and Mexico, which he’s already imposed tariffs on. There “may be a little bit of an adjustment period” for American agricultural exporters, Trump said.

Meanwhile, Trump claimed he was going to “balance the federal budget,” but also championed his plan for big new income and business tax cuts, including reiterating his campaign promises to make tips, overtime payments, and Social Security income tax-exempt. It’s hard to see how that math could add up. Trump also praised Elon Musk and rattled off more than a dozen absurd-sounding contracts that he claimed Musk’s team had canceled. On the topic of rising egg prices, Trump blamed President Joe Biden and said his team was “working hard” to lower them but did not offer any specifics.

One big question mark for the speech was how Trump would handle Ukraine after Friday’s Oval Office blow-up and the administration’s subsequent pause on aid to the country. On Tuesday morning, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a social media post that seemed to give in to several of Trump’s demands while calling Friday’s disastrous meeting “regrettable.”

In his speech, Trump said, “I appreciate that he sent that letter,” and added that Russia had sent “strong signals that they are ready for peace. Wouldn’t that be beautiful?” However, he did not give any further details on what he hoped a peace arrangement would look like.

Trump bragged that his administration had ended “wokeness” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” not only in the federal government but also in the private sector. In addition to his typical denunciation of unauthorized immigrants who committed crimes, Trump attacked trans athletes — one of his invited guests had been injured when, in Trump’s words, “her girls’ volleyball match was invaded by a man.”

“Wokeness is trouble, wokeness is bad, it’s gone,” he said. “And we feel so much better for it, don’t we?”

During the speech, Democrats tried to show protest in various ways. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) disrupted the speech at the beginning and was escorted out of the chamber by the House sergeant at arms. Others held up small signs with phrases like “Save Medicaid” or “Musk steals” written on it, or chose to walk out themselves. But ultimately, Trump’s speech wasn’t meaningfully disrupted.

AI Agents Switch to "Gibberlink" Mode Mid-Chat, Dropping Human Speech https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ai-agents-switch-to-gibberlink-mode-mid-chat-dropping-human-speech/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ai-agents-switch-to-gibberlink-mode-mid-chat-dropping-human-speech/#respond Mon, 03 Mar 2025 01:42:40 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ai-agents-switch-to-gibberlink-mode-mid-chat-dropping-human-speech/

A recent video has gone viral after showing two artificial intelligence (AI) agents talking—not in human language, but in a code designed specifically for machines.

The clip, shared in a February 25 post X, features a mobile phone and a laptop running these AI agents.

One AI starts by introducing itself and asking for help with a reservation. The other responds by confirming it is also AI and suggests switching to “Gibberlink mode”, a communication system created by Meta engineers Anton Pidkuiko and Boris Starkov.

AI agents like these operate independently, processing information and taking action based on their goals. Starkov explained in a LinkedIn post that the idea behind this system is efficiency. He stated:

We wanted to show that in the world where AI agents can make and take phone calls, they would occasionally talk to each other — and generating human-like speech for that would be a waste of compute, money, time, and environment.

He added that as soon as AI systems detect they are speaking to another AI, switching to a faster, optimized protocol makes more sense.

Gibberlink makes this possible by using GGWave, a data transmission system that relies on sound, similar to how dial-up modems worked in the 1980s. Pidkuiko and Starkov chose this approach because it is stable and convenient.

Some viewers questioned whether the video was real, but Starkov said that AI voice company ElevenLabs reviewed the code and confirmed its legitimacy.

Meanwhile, Figure AI, a United States-based robotics company, recently introduced Helix. What is it? Read the full story.

Musk, DOGE, and the GOP’s free speech hypocrisy https://earlybirdsinvest.com/musk-doge-and-the-gops-free-speech-hypocrisy/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/musk-doge-and-the-gops-free-speech-hypocrisy/#respond Sat, 08 Feb 2025 23:20:22 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/musk-doge-and-the-gops-free-speech-hypocrisy/

On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that a staffer at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) resigned after the paper inquired about some racist social media posts from an account linked to him.

The swift resignation was, at least at first, a breath of fresh air. President Donald Trump and his allies have repeatedly refused to adhere to basic societal norms or moral codes and have faced little to no consequences. Elon Musk refused to apologize for a gesture that, at the very least, appeared identical to a Nazi salute. A senior State Department official once tweeted that “competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work.” It could seem like public shaming no longer worked as a guardrail against corrupt or irresponsible governance.

So when Marko Elez — the 25-year-old staffer who had gained access to the Treasury Department’s central payment system — felt enough pressure to quit, it looked like maybe there was still a line that Trump and his allies couldn’t cross.

That is, until the following day, when Elon Musk, who leads DOGE, asked his followers on X to answer this poll: “Bring back @DOGE staffer who made inappropriate statements via a now deleted pseudonym?”

Vice President JD Vance then shared Musk’s tweet. “I obviously disagree with some of Elez’s posts, but I don’t think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life,” Vance wrote. “So I say bring him back.” By Friday afternoon, Musk announced that Elez will get his job back.

To put this all in perspective, here’s a sampling of the kinds of things Elez said online:

  • “Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.”
  • “Normalize Indian hate.”
  • “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity.”

The truth is everyone says something they will one day regret. And it’s reasonable to say that people shouldn’t be punished for things they said or did as a kid — especially if they’ve demonstrated that they’ve changed and matured. But Elez — an adult in a position of significant power — said all of these things within the past year. The idea that he shouldn’t face any consequences for making such offensive remarks, or that he should have access to people’s data, is on its face absurd.

But this story is not really about Elez. It’s about what Republicans really mean when they say they believe in free speech. Musk styles himself as an outspoken supporter of the First Amendment, saying he initially invested in Twitter (which he renamed X) because he wanted it to be “the platform for free speech around the globe.” Vance, in a follow-up tweet, said that he didn’t want his children to worry about whether “a flippant comment or a wrong viewpoint will follow them around for the rest of their lives.”

In other words, our speech, however offensive, should not only be legal but socially permissible.

But the Republican Party doesn’t really believe in that absolutist ideal. In fact, the first few weeks of the Trump administration, and the Elez fiasco in particular, have exemplified the contradiction at the heart of the right’s free speech rallying cry. What they actually want is the freedom to say the most offensive, racist things without getting any pushback, while also using the power of the state to suppress speech that they personally don’t like.

The GOP’s conflicting messaging on free speech

The Republican Party is not, by any means, the party of free speech.

Over the past several years, the GOP has been the main party willing to wield government might to actually suppress or punish speech that it deems unacceptable. This ranges from banning books to retaliating against private companies for taking political stances to unleashing law enforcement agencies to squash protests. (To be sure, Democrats have also used similar tactics.)

The first three weeks of the Trump administration have also underscored how Republicans aren’t the free speech absolutists they claim to be.

Just last week, for example, Trump issued an executive order that aims to deport foreign students who took part in pro-Palestinian protests last year. A fact sheet about the order says that it will target “Hamas sympathizers” and revoke student visas. “To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice: come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you,” Trump said in a statement. “I will also quickly cancel the student visas of all Hamas sympathizers on college campuses, which have been infested with radicalism like never before.”

The Trump administration is taking tangible steps, in other words, to not just discourage some forms of speech but to actually deport people for attending a protest where people expressed opinions the administration finds offensive. So while someone who says “normalize Indian hate” can have a place in Trump’s government without facing significant professional consequences — because, apparently, kids say the darnedest things — people who have views or ideas that Republicans don’t like are not even welcome to enter the country.

This is not merely a case of the typical hypocrisy we expect from politicians. It is a coherent worldview coming into form: The Trump administration has been making clear that while it has plenty of tolerance for not just radical ideas but outright racist words and gestures, it has no room whatsoever for dissent or disagreement.

As Vance and Musk prepare to bring Elez back to his post at DOGE, they might argue that he simply made a mistake and, like it or not, the First Amendment protects all kinds of speech. And they would be right — the First Amendment mostly does.

But the Trump administration certainly does not, and the speech they’re personally choosing to protect should tell you everything about how they view the world.
