The Zend v5.0.5 update is now live. All nodes on the Mainnet must have been updated before December 12, 2024, as Zend v5.0.4 was deprecated at block #1679880. Zend v5.0.5 will remain active until its deprecation at block #1730680, expected on March 11, 2025. This update included bug fixes and minor changes, ensuring the network remains secure and reliable.

Cortex (CTXC) 1.10.61

Cortex released version 1.10.61, featuring multiple stability improvements and performance enhancements:

• Enhanced database snapshots for better state management.
• Bug fixes addressing flaky tests and state destruction issues.
• Optimized chain events and header management for efficient synchronization.
• New features like the DeleteRange functionality and support for prestateTracer configuration options.

Ergo (ERG) 5.0.24

The Ergo update 5.0.24 includes critical fixes and optimizations:

• Refactoring of Autolykos-related code for better efficiency.
• Resolved issues with API crashes and transaction mempool management.
• Enhanced support for upcoming Ergoscript changes post-6.0 activation.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) v28.0.0

Bitcoin Cash Node v28.0.0 has been released in preparation for the May 15, 2025, network upgrade. Key highlights:

• Introduction of CHIP-2021-05 for virtual machine limits and CHIP-2024-07 for high-precision arithmetic.
• Improved p2p protocol with enhanced timestamp handling and port mapping support.
• Expanded Script VM capabilities, including support for 80,000-bit integers.

Note: 32-bit architecture support has been dropped due to increasing resource demands.

Pyrin (PYI) Delisting

We regret to announce the delisting of Pyrin (PYI) from the 2Miners pool. As of December 20, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, PYI PPLNS and PYI SOLO operations have ceased. This decision was made after the developers abandoned the project, deleting all resources and leaving the community without support. We encourage PYI miners to use 2CryptoCalc to find alternative profitable coins to mine.

Nervos (CKB) Pool API Update

Nervos CKB miners can now enjoy enhanced pool features! We updated the API and statistics pages, enabling detailed hashrate and share statistics. You can also adjust the payout threshold directly in the CKB pool. If the changes don’t appear, clear your browser cache with Shift+Ctrl+R (or Shift+Command+R on macOS).

Bitcoin and Toncoin Payouts for Multiple Coins

Great news for Bitcoin Gold (BTG) miners! Bitcoin and Toncoin payouts are now available. Simply set your BTC or TON wallet address in your mining software, and the pool will handle the rest. Note that payouts may take up to 3 days due to BTG deposit rules on crypto exchanges.

Block Reward Reductions

December saw major block reward reductions for these coins:

• Horizen (ZEN): Block reward halved from 3.75 ZEN to 1.875 ZEN.
• Kaspa (KAS): Block reward reduced from 77.78 KAS to 73.41 KAS.

What is the Pyrin PYI Cryptocurrency

As noted by the project developers on its website, Pyrin is a next-generation decentralized network for transactions with smart contract support. Its key feature is the innovative GhostDAG consensus protocol, created based on the popular DAG structure, that is, a directed acyclic graph.

In practice, the combination of innovations leads to almost instant transaction confirmations and the elimination of incomplete orphan blocks. Blockchain users, in turn, can enjoy high throughput and scalability, creating conditions for the popularization of digital assets in everyday life.

So, here are the main advantages of the Pyrin project, launched in November 2023:

• High speed: the average transaction time is 1.2 seconds, while their finality, i.e., final implementation into the blockchain, takes less than ten seconds.
• Decentralization: network security is guaranteed by thousands of nodes, while the fair distribution of cryptocurrency at the initial stage of the project’s life by blocking ASIC miners is ensured by the BLAKE3 hash function.
• Low fees: the cost of a transaction is $0.000025, making interactions with smart contracts more comfortable.
• Scalability: blocks in the Pyrin network are created and confirmed in parallel, thus guaranteeing high throughput.
• Security: the GhostDAG consensus protocol is based on the traditional Proof-of-Work (PoW) system, which has proven its reliability.

Pyrin PYI Exchange Rate and Cryptocurrency Tokenomics

The PYI cryptocurrency was launched without so-called premine and pre-sales to investors. Therefore, the Pyrin developers call its launch as fair as possible, while the project itself is considered “fully decentralized, open-source, and community-driven.” Such a combination is usually valued in the crypto world.

The maximum supply of PYI is 1 billion coins, with the new coin issuance schedule implying a gradual decrease in the release rate with a coefficient of (1/2)^(1/12), which will occur every month.

The initial emission rate is 17 PYI per block, but on May 21, 2024, the rate will drop to 14 PYI. The release curve of the cryptocurrency looks like this on the chart.

As of May 15, the PYI exchange rate is 4 cents. The project’s market capitalization is $10.43 million, placing it at 3042 in the overall CoinMarketCap platform ranking.

The highest PYI price was recorded on March 21, 2024 — it was 28.9 cents. Accordingly, the current rate is 85 percent behind the record.

And although this is not the best indicator, the project is still very young. Therefore, making any predictions for a new bull run based on such data is simply too early, and the behavior of PYI will be determined by the activity of users of this network.

The Best Wallets for Pyrin Cryptocurrency

There are three types of wallets for interacting with PYI — a web wallet, a desktop wallet, and an Android smartphone app.

The web wallet is available at this link and is very simple to use. When you follow the link, it will generate a 24-word seed phrase or offer to import an already used combination.

After recording the seed, the site will verify three random words from the combination to ensure you wrote it down correctly. Then create a password for access and get access to the wallet interface.

Bitcoin Wallet for Mining Pyrin PYI

Mining Pyrin PYI on the 2Miners mining pool also allows you to receive rewards in Bitcoin. That is, the reward in PYI is automatically converted into BTC, which is then sent to the corresponding wallets.

Thus, Pyrin miners can not only accumulate the main cryptocurrency with the best liquidity on the market but also use more convenient wallets, which are significantly more in the case of BTC.

Mining PYI solo is recommended for miners who have the appropriate mining experience and can find at least 2-3 blocks per day.

In this situation, the hashrate is enough to mine approximately 148 blocks per day. And this is more than enough for solo mining.

FIRO Delisting

As of September 13, 2024, at 10:00 UTC, FIRO was officially delisted from our mining pool. This decision followed the FIRO project’s announcement to significantly reduce mining rewards by five times at block 958655, which occurred around September 16, 2024. The new reward distribution heavily favored Masternodes and markedly decreased miners’ shares, which did not align with our values of supporting the miner community. Consequently, we discontinued support for FIRO.

Kaspa Stable Mainnet Release & WASM SDK v0.15.1

Last month, Kaspa released a stable mainnet update focusing on enhancing mempool functionalities critical for adapting to fee market conditions. Significant features introduced included:

• Replace-By-Fee (RBF) to allow transaction replacement in the mempool.
• A fee estimation API based on real-time mempool states for more accurate fee predictions.
• An updated mempool eviction policy that prioritizes transactions based on fee rate.

Additional improvements included major enhancements in the block template transaction selection algorithm and header processing performance. These upgrades made mining on Kaspa more efficient under various network conditions. Upgrading to this version was recommended to ensure stability and optimal network support.

Pyrin Network Hard Fork

Pyrin underwent a scheduled hard fork at block 27,037,930, introducing a new mining algorithm, PyrinHashV2. This change required miners to update their mining software to continue mining PYI effectively. Details on the countdown to the hard fork were available in the Pyrin Explorer.

Karlsen Update and Hard Fork

Karlsen also underwent a hard fork with the introduction of a new mining algorithm, KarlsenHashV2, aimed at enhancing network security and efficiency. Following the update, several issues were addressed, including a critical bug fix for transaction rejections that affected pool operators. The latest version included several important fixes improving transaction handling and wallet functionalities, making it crucial for miners to update their software to the latest version to avoid potential issues.

Nervos CKB Update

The latest release from Nervos CKB, version 0.119.0, was introduced on October 25, 2024. This update is pivotal as it rolls out a new preview chain, which provides a test environment for the upcoming hard fork on the Nervos network. Here are the key highlights:

• New Chain for Preview: Allows developers and users to engage with the hard fork changes ahead of official deployment, enhancing transparency and readiness.
• Testnet Activation: The hard fork has been activated on the testnet, requiring nodes to update to this latest version to participate and test the changes effectively.
• Compatibility: Ensures compatibility across different network stages, including developments scheduled for future epochs.

Notable improvements and bug fixes in this release address multi-threading issues, script optimizations, and transaction conflict resolutions, contributing to the overall robustness of the network.

Zephyr Protocol v2.0.0 – ZSD Yield Release

Zephyr’s major update to version 2.0.0, known as the ZSD Yield Release, was rolled out to support the new ZSD Yield Mechanism. Here are the significant changes and enhancements:

• ZSD Yield Mechanism: Users can now stake ZSD and receive Zephyr Yield Shares (ZYS), a new asset that represents a stake in the ZSD Yield Reserve.
• Block Reward Restructuring: To support the new yield system, block rewards have been reallocated, significantly altering the distribution to favor reserve accumulation while removing the governance reward.

This update marks a substantial shift in Zephyr’s approach to value storage and distribution, aiming to enhance stability and growth within the ecosystem.

Pyrin Network Uncertainty

October brought unforeseen challenges with the Pyrin project. The developers have abruptly left the project and shut down all associated online platforms, casting significant doubt on the future of the Pyrin network. As a result:

• The official Pyrin website and social media channels have been deactivated, eliminating direct sources of information and updates.
• Mining continues, however, the stability and viability of PYI are now in question, and no new deposits are being accepted on exchanges.
• Bitcoin payouts for PYI mining have been halted, reflecting the uncertainty surrounding the project’s continuation.
