If you’ve been experiencing issues with Google Home and your smart home devices, you’re far from alone. There have been numerous reports about devices disconnecting, delayed responses, ignored commands, and more. However, a fix for the problem could be on the way.

On Reddit, a Google Home user shared that 90% of their Smart Life light bulbs had disconnected. But it wasn’t just their light bulbs that were having issues. They also mentioned that their eufy doorbell and Tapo cameras stopped connecting, as well. The user questions whether the problem is connected to a bad update.

Under that post, you’ll find multiple comments from other Google Home users who are also running into similar issues. One commenter says, “I’ve only been able to connect to Home two or three times today.” Another states that all of their cameras are down, despite all of their other smart home devices working.

Thankfully, it looks like Google is aware of the issue in question. In response to the post, Google announced:

Hey all,

We’re aware of an issue with accessing some devices in the Google Home app. We’ll share an update as soon as possible, thanks for your patience.

Unfortunately, all this message really tells us is that Google knows there’s an issue and it is presumably working on a fix. It’s unclear when that fix could roll out. We have contacted Google for more information, and we will update this article if we hear back.

As Asia opens the Wednesday trading day, bitcoin

is changing hands above $105.5K, a slight correction from $107K, where it sat during the U.S. business day.

Despite the geopolitical upheaval of the last few weeks – with the U.S. strike on Iran, an event that surprised both geopolitical scholars and Polymarket bettors – BTC has proven itself once again to be a resilient store of value. CoinDesk market data shows that the asset class has been fairly stable over the last month, up 1%.

But this return to a price point that looks inches away from BTC’s all-time high of $111K, which it hit in May, feels more disciplined than euphoric, according to market observers.

Unlike the December 2024 breakout above $100K, which triggered a wave of profit-taking, long-term investors now appear content to sit on their gains, as Glassnode wrote in their weekly note.

“HODLing appears to be the dominant market mechanic,” Glassnode analysts wrote, citing a surge in long-term holder supply to 14.7 million BTC and historically low realized profits. On-chain activity indicates a limited desire to sell, even as BTC trades just below record levels.

Metrics like the adjusted Spent Output Profit Ratio (aSOPR) also reflect this restraint, hovering just above breakeven, according to Glassnode. This suggests that the coins being spent are recent acquisitions. Think: tactical trades rather than broad distribution.

Meanwhile, Glassnode data shows the Liveliness metric continues to decline, reinforcing that older coins remain dormant.

That patience is being met with persistent institutional demand, as QCP wrote in its daily markets update.

Market data indicates that $2.2 billion in net inflows to BTC spot ETFs occurred last week, with QCP describing the tone as “constructive” and noting that players such as Strategy and Metaplanet continue to accumulate.

These steady inflows are quietly reshaping the market’s structure. Bitcoin’s realized cap, a measure of the price at which coins last moved, has grown to $955 billion, which is likely a sign that real capital, not just speculation, is moving into the asset.

Still, not everything is calm under the surface. QCP notes that leveraged long positions have been rising, with funding rates turning positive across major perpetual futures markets.

Glassnode warns that “the market may need to move higher, or lower, to unlock additional supply,” suggesting that this equilibrium between long-term conviction and short-term leverage won’t hold forever.

With BTC barely moving after the Senate approved the White House’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, the market feels less like a stampede and more like a standoff between long-term holders who refuse to sell and short-term traders piling into leverage.

That fragile equilibrium has market observers wondering where the next catalyst will come from and whether it could make BTC’s next move explosive.

Figma Holds $70M in BTC ETFs: Filing

Design software firm Figma has disclosed a $70 million position in the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) as part of its IPO filing.

The filing shows that board approved a $55 million BTC investment in March 2024, which has since appreciated by 27%.

A separate May resolution greenlit a $30 million USDC purchase, earmarked for future conversion to BTC bringing the total planned allocation to $100 million.

Recently, Hong Kong-based food conglomerate DDC Enterprise announced a $528 million capital raise this week, earmarked to buy 5,000 BTC over three years.

XRPs gather as the market changes

7 Years of Price Struggle

From March 2017 to January 2018, XRP won over 68,000%, peaking at $3.84. Based on on-chain data, its furious execution caused a brutal 97% slide by March 2020 when the price reached $0.1140.

Another bounce almost doubled the price in November 2020, but the Securities and Exchange Commission lawsuit overturned that move, with XRP falling 67% in December 2020.

Nevertheless, the number of XRP holders continued to increase. According to Santiment, around 986,000 wallets held XRP in January 2018. By December 2022, over 3.53 million new addresses had joined the network, pushing a total of 4.5 million into the past.

That surge in interest came even if many US-Canadian interactions suspend transactions. It shows newcomers and longtime followers have piled up while regulators and markets wrestled with fallout.

Recovery is facing headwinds from the market cycle

The latest rally is impressive, but it goes against the mixed code background. Bitcoin and Ethereum show uneven strength, and overall sentiment is cautious. Some traders warn that sharp profits can trigger profitable events. Especially when the wider market cools, or when the SEC lawsuit sees a new twist.

Shortly after midnight early Saturday morning, the Supreme Court handed down a brief order forbidding the Trump administration from removing a group of Venezuelan immigrants from the United States without due process.

The facts of this case, known as A.A.R.P. v. Trump, are uncertain and rapidly developing. Much of what we do know about the A.A.R.P. case comes from an emergency application filed by immigration lawyers at the ACLU late Friday night. According to that application, the government started moving Venezuelan immigrants around the United States to a detention facility in Texas, without offering much of an explanation about why it was doing so.

Sometime on Friday, an unknown number of these immigrants — the ACLU claims “dozens or hundreds” — were allegedly given an English-language document, despite the fact that many of them only speak Spanish, indicating that they’ve been designated for removal from the country under the Alien Enemies Act. That law only permits the government to deport people during a time of war or military invasion, but President Donald Trump has claimed that it gives him the power to remove Venezuelans who, he alleges, are members of a criminal gang.

Immigrants who were previously deported under this dubious legal justification were sent to a prison in El Salvador, which is known for widespread human rights abuses. Following those deportations, the Supreme Court ruled the government must give any immigrant whom Trump attempts to deport under this wartime statute “notice and an opportunity to challenge their removal.”

The ACLU lawyers argue the government is attempting to defy this order, claiming that the immigrants at the Texas facility were told that their “removals are imminent and will happen today” — a timeline that did not provide a real opportunity to challenge their removal. In a Friday hearing on the matter, the government did not give an exact timeline for deportations, but said it “reserve[d] the right” to deport the immigrants as soon as Saturday, and that the government was in compliance with the Supreme Court’s first order.

Assuming that the facts in the ACLU’s application are correct, this rushed process, where immigrants are moved to a facility without explanation, given a last-minute notice that many of them do not understand, and then potentially sent to El Salvador before they have a meaningful opportunity to challenge that removal, does seem to violate the Supreme Court’s April 7 decision in Trump v. J.G.G.

The Court’s late-night order in A.A.R.P. appears to be crafted to ensure that this notice and opportunity for a hearing mandated by J.G.G. actually takes place. It is just one paragraph and states that “the Government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this Court.” It also invites the Justice Department to respond to the ACLU’s application “as soon as possible.”

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the A.A.R.P. order. Though neither has explained why yet, the order says that a statement from Alito will come soon.

Thus far, the Supreme Court has been extraordinarily tolerant of Trump’s efforts to evade judicial review through hypertechnical procedural arguments. Though the J.G.G. decision required the Trump administration to give these Venezuelan immigrants a hearing, for example, it also guaranteed that many — likely most — of those hearings would take place in Texas, which has some of the most right-wing federal judges in the country.

Though it is just one order, Saturday’s post-midnight order suggests that the Court may no longer tolerate procedural shenanigans intended to evade meaningful judicial review. If the ACLU’s application is accurate, the Trump administration appears to have believed that it could comply with the Court’s decision in J.G.G. by giving men who are about to be deported a last-minute notice that many of them cannot even understand. Whether most of the justices choose to tolerate this kind of malicious half-compliance with their decisions will likely become clear in the coming days. The Court’s A.A.R.P. order suggests that they will not.

Still, it remains to be seen how this case will play out once it is fully litigated. The post-midnight order is only temporary. And it leaves open all of the most important issues in this case, including whether Trump can rely on a wartime statute to deport people during peacetime.
