US-listed Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) continued their positive momentum on Aug. 27, adding $307.2 million in fresh inflows.

According to SoSo Value data, BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for the lion’s share, drawing $262.23 million,  representing nearly 85% of the day’s total.

Fidelity’s FETH and Grayscale’s ETH contributed $20.52 million and $15.05 million, respectively, while Grayscale’s ETHE and VanEck’s VETH added smaller sums of $5.65 million and $3.35 million.

Meanwhile, this inflow marked the fifth consecutive trading day of gains for the nine products. Cumulatively, spot Ethereum ETFs have attracted roughly $1.83 billion in inflows over this five-day run, reflecting the significant institutional appetite for the asset.

Speaking on the trend, Nate Geraci, president of advisory firm NovaDius Wealth, highlighted the broader pace of investment, saying:

“[Ethereum ETFs have attracted] $4 billion in August. Approaching $10 billion since the beginning of July.”

With these additions, Ethereum ETFs now hold $30.17 billion in net assets, backed by $13.64 billion in cumulative net inflows since their 2024 launch.

Bitcoin ETFs lag Ethereum counterparts

While Ethereum products are leading the inflow race, spot Bitcoin ETFs also posted gains, recording $81.3 million on the same day. Notably, this is their third straight session of inflows.

According to the data, BlackRock’s IBIT led with $50.73 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $14.65 million.

Other funds, such as Invesco’s BTCO and Franklin’s EZBC, collected $6.71 million and $6.48 million, respectively, while ARK’s ARKB added $5.58 million. Bitwise’s BITB, however, recorded a $3.05 million outflow.

Despite this daily uptick, Bitcoin ETFs have recorded over $800 million in outflows this month, in contrast to the significant inflows of their Ethereum counterparts.

Still, Bitcoin ETFs hold a larger cumulative footprint, with $54.19 billion in net inflows since launch and $144.57 billion in assets under management.

These numbers can be attributed to the significant institutional interest that the funds had recorded in the past.

CryptoSlate previously reported that institutional investors increased their ETF holdings to $33.6 billion in the second quarter, driven by renewed investments from financial advisors.

According to Kronos Research, financial advisors’ BTC ETF holdings signify that the top crypto is becoming more embedded in mainstream wealth management, which would support its liquidity and potentially lower its volatility over time.

US spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended their winning streak on Aug. 14, recording $639.6 million in net inflows.

Data from SoSo Value shows that BlackRock’s ETHA led the surge with $519.7 million in inflows.

It was followed by Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust, which saw $60.7 million in inflows, Fidelity’s FETH attracted $56.9 million, and Invesco’s product added $2.2 million. Other issuers reported no inflow activity for the day.

Nate Geraci, president of NovaDius Wealth, highlighted the scale of the inflows. He pointed out that the Aug. 14 inflow ranked as the fourth-highest day for spot ETH ETFs since launch, with three of the top four days occurring this week.

He also noted that nearly $3 billion has entered these products over the past four trading sessions.

Considering this, Geraci said the Ethereum-focused funds are “quickly becoming a vacuum” for fresh investor capital.

Record trading volumes

Meanwhile, the inflows coincide with record trading activity, signaling increased institutional participation.

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas highlighted that BlackRock’s ETF traded $3 billion on Aug. 13, marking the ETF’s largest single-day volume to date and ranking seventh overall in trading volume across all ETFs and stocks.

This activity level places ETHA in the top 0.1% of all ETFs and stocks, surpassing trading volumes in major institutions like JPMorgan and Berkshire Hathaway.

Geraci added that these figures point to a broader trend that institutional investors are not only increasing exposure to Ethereum but are also relying on regulated ETFs as a primary avenue for participation.

The Crypto ETF is seeing net inflows of over $1.1 billion as Ethereum sets a daily record. US Crypto ETFS combined ETH ETH and net inflows beyond BTC funds to record one of its strongest sessions, with Ethereum being a clear winner. Ether ETFS recorded more than $1 billion on its single trading day on August 11, 2025.

In particular, the incredible crypto ETF net inflow was driven primarily by BlackRock and Fidelity flagship funds. BlackRock’s Ishares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) was critically led with a net inflow of around $640 million, while Fidelity’s Feth continued at around $276-277 million.

“The Corporate Treasury has obtained ETH at a rate twice as much as BTC,” said Geoff Kendrick of Standard Chartered.

The Ethereum Surge continues to be strong for weeks

The surge in ETH has followed a strong momentum for weeks, with ETH funds approaching or exceeding a positive trend in multi-week winning streak. Interestingly, market analysts point to the maturation of ETH’s investment cases as a “core” digital asset, along with the diversified portfolio of Bitcoin.

Launched after Bitcoin, the Ethereum Spot ETF has grown its position towards target weights as it is becoming more reliable. Institutional funds flooded the Ethereum ETF with $1.17 billion in June, exceeding $1.5 billion so far this year, projecting $10 billion by the end of 2025.

Institutions may hold 10% of ETH

Kendrick predicts that the agency will be able to manage 10% of Ethereum’s total supply, potentially exceeding $45 billion by the end of 2025.

99bitcoins analysts credit yields and definition integration as the main reasons.

Ethereum is back on top. It will not become Web3 “World Computer.” The NFT is still dead, but what we see is that the corner office is beginning to treat it like gold.

The ETH ETF, which was 3.2 billion hits in July alone, is a stampede that adds $150 billion to its market value of ETH▼-0.75%.

Another major tailwind is that the SEC has finally approved the creation/repayment of the cryptographic ETF. This means that instead of using cash, institutions can now exchange ETH or BTC directly for ETF shares. “This is a new day at the SEC. These approvals will make Crypto ETP costly and efficient,” said SEC Chairman Paul Atkins.

Spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) available in the US saw $152.3 million in outflows on Aug. 1, ending their longest streak of inflows.

According to Farside Investors’ data, the outflow amount was the largest since Jan. 8. It ended the 20-day streak of positive netflows for Ethereum ETFs, which have accumulated nearly $5.4 billion during the period.

The ended streak is not only the largest in duration, but also in total amount of inflows and average daily flow, which was approximately $270 million.

The previous record in duration was 19 days straight, which ended on June 13 and resulted in roughly $1.4 billion captured, with an average of $73 million per day.

However, it was largely eclipsed by the 18-day record that ended on December 19 and inched close to $2.5 billion, resulting in nearly $139 million per day on average.

James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, pointed out macroeconomic events as the likely causes for August 1 outflows. He noted last week’s statements by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) and the strong economic data.

    ETHA levels up

Until June 30, Ethereum ETFs registered around $4.3 billion in inflows. By adding close to $5.4 billion in positive net flows last month, Ethereum ETFs increased their flows by 126%.

BlackRock’s ETHA was the main reason behind the growth of Ethereum ETFs. As reported by Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, ETHA was the third-largest ETF by inflows in July, registering close to $4.2 billion and representing 78% of the total.

BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, and Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) were the two funds besting ETHA.

Usually, Balchunas calls the high flows into VOO and IBIT as “beta with a side of Bitcoin.” Yet, he highlighted on August 4:

“Top 3 ETFs (out of 4,432) in one month flows: $VOO, $IBIT, $ETHA. I used to say ‘Beta with a side of Bitcoin’ to describe this (which was most of 2024 leaderboard) but need a new phrase, ideally an aliteration, to incl Ether. If you think of anything i’m all ears.”

As of August 1, ETHA shows over $9.7 billion in cumulative flows.

    Ethereum Shatters Inflow Records, Pulls in $2.12 Billion in a Week https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ethereum-shatters-inflow-records-pulls-in-2-12-billion-in-a-week/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ethereum-shatters-inflow-records-pulls-in-2-12-billion-in-a-week/#respond Tue, 22 Jul 2025 01:44:03 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ethereum-shatters-inflow-records-pulls-in-2-12-billion-in-a-week/

Ethereum led digital asset inflows last week as it recorded a staggering $2.12 billion. The figure was nearly double its previous record.

This surge helped push total digital asset investment product inflows to an all-time weekly high of $4.39 billion, surpassing the prior record of $4.27 billion set after the US presidential election in December 2024.

    Altcoins Join Ethereum’s Rally

In the latest edition of the ‘Digital Asset Fund Flows Weekly Report,’ CoinShares revealed that Ethereum has been on a strong run. Inflows from the past 13 weeks now account for 23% of its total assets under management. This year alone, it has pulled in $6.2 billion and has already topped the full-year inflows seen in 2024.

This comes as total assets under management hit a record $220 billion, while global weekly trading turnover in ETPs also reached a record $39.2 billion.

Bitcoin attracted $2.2 billion in inflows this week, down from last week’s $2.7 billion. ETP trading volumes accounted for 55% of its exchange activity. Meanwhile, Solana led altcoin inflows with $39 million, followed by XRP at $36 million and Sui at $9.3 million. During the same period, Chainlink and Cardano recorded smaller inflows of $0.9 million and $0.3 million.

Multi-asset products were the only cohort to have recorded outflows of $16.4 million over the past week.

With altcoins pulling notable inflows, the data indicates growing investor appetite for assets beyond Bitcoin. In fact, QCP Capital noted that Bitcoin dominance slipped from 64% to 60% over the past week, while, at the same time, Ethereum’s market share rose from 9.7% to 11.6%. If this trend continues, QCP expects the next phase of altcoin season could already be underway.

    Regional Crypto Flows

Flows were largely driven by the US, which attracted $4.37 billion during the week. Switzerland followed with $47.3 million, while Australia and Hong Kong recorded $17.3 million and $14.1 million, respectively. Canada also saw modest inflows of $3 million.

Brazil and Sweden, on the other hand, posted outflows of $28.1 million and $21 million. Germany also saw $15.5 million in weekly outflows.

The US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) have been in scintillating form over the past few weeks, seeing an influx of significant capital during this period. This positive trend should come as no surprise, considering the recent sentiment toward crypto in the United States has never been more optimistic.

Case in point — United States President Donald Trump officially signed the first crypto bill, GENIUS Act,  into law on Friday, July 18. On the same day, the spot Bitcoin ETFs saw enough green to continue their ongoing streak of daily capital inflows.

Bitcoin ETFs Record $363 Million Daily Inflow To Close Past Week

According to the latest market data, the US Bitcoin ETF market saw a daily total net inflow of $363.45 million on Friday, July 18. This round of inflows marked the 12th consecutive day of positive capital influx for the crypto-linked investment products.

As expected, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (with the ticker IBIT) contributed most of the capital seen on Friday, adding $496.75 million in value on the day. The largest Bitcoin ETF by asset under management continues to impress, with a strong portfolio almost nearing $90 billion.

WisdomTree’s Bitcoin Trust (BTCW) was the only other Bitcoin ETF to record a positive inflow day to close the past week. Data from SoSoValue shows that the exchange-traded fund posted a $3.11 million capital inflow on Friday, representing its first activity since the series of withdrawals in late March and April.

Only five other Bitcoin ETFs recorded investor activity on Friday, including Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), ARK 21Shares ETF (ARKB), Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), and VanEck Bitcoin ETF (HODL). Cumulatively, these exchange-traded funds saw a net total of $136.42 million in value withdrawn to close the week.

However, this round of withdrawals didn’t stop the Bitcoin ETFs from registering their 12th straight day of positive net inflows. Furthermore, the crypto-linked products posted their second consecutive week of more than $2 billion inflows, with a $2.39-billion performance in the past week.

    Bitcoin Price Overview

Another $2-billion performance for the US-based Bitcoin ETFs didn’t happen in isolation, as it was accompanied by a historic week for the Bitcoin price. The price of BTC continued its rally in the past week, reaching as high as $122,800 to form a new all-time high.

As of this writing, the price of Bitcoin is hovering around the $118,000 level, with no significant movement in the past 24 hours. According to data from CoinGecko, the premier cryptocurrency is up by more than 12% in the past month.

US-based spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have recorded over $1 billion in inflows for two straight days, a first since their launch in January 2024.

    Key Takeaways:

    • US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded over $1 billion in inflows for two consecutive days for the first time.
    • BlackRock’s IBIT dominated Friday’s inflows with $953 million.
    • Analysts warn that such high inflows may not be sustainable at current Bitcoin price levels.

On Friday, 11 spot Bitcoin ETF products reported combined inflows totaling $1.03 billion, following $1.17 billion the previous day, according to Farside data.

BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the lion’s share of the inflows, attracting over $953 million on Friday.

Only Seven Days of $1 Billion+ Inflows Recorded Since ETF Launch

Nate Geraci, president of NovaDius Wealth Management, noted in an X post that since the launch of these ETFs, there have been only seven days with inflows exceeding $1 billion.

Notably, two of those occurred in the last two days. The previous high was $1.07 billion on January 17, 2024.

The $1.17 billion inflow on Thursday was the second-largest daily figure since inception, surpassed only by the $1.37 billion inflow on November 7, 2024, the day of Donald Trump’s US presidential election victory.

Matt Hougan, Bitwise Invest’s chief investment officer, highlighted that while the Bitcoin network produced roughly 450 BTC on Thursday, spot Bitcoin ETFs bought about 10,000 BTC.

Similarly, blockchain analytics firm Jan3 noted that on Wednesday, Bitcoin ETF demand was 22 times greater than the daily mined supply.

However, Jan3 CEO Samson Mow cautioned that such demand is unlikely to be sustainable at current price levels.

The strong demand contributed to $2.72 billion in inflows over the past five trading days.

Bitcoin’s price surged to new all-time highs, reaching $112,000 on Wednesday and climbing further to $118,780 on Friday, according to CoinMarketCap.

The price rally helped BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) surpass $80 billion in assets under management (AUM) on Thursday.

ETF analyst Eric Balchunas called it the “fastest ETF” to reach this milestone, achieving it in just 374 days.

Recently, BlackRock reported earning more revenue from IBIT than from its flagship iShares Core S&P 500 ETF.

Balchunas added that total assets across all spot Bitcoin ETFs crossed $140 billion for the first time, largely driven by the recent price surge.

As reported, Bloomberg’s senior ETF analysts have assigned a 95% chance that the SEC will approve spot ETFs for Solana, XRP, and Litecoin this year, raising their previous odds from 90% amid growing optimism for institutional crypto products.

Institutional Bitcoin Demand Shifts From ETFs to Corporate Treasuries

Beyond ETFs, institutional Bitcoin demand is spreading into corporate treasuries.

Japan’s Metaplanet recently bought $237 million worth of BTC, becoming the fifth-largest corporate holder with a stack exceeding 15,500 BTC.

France’s The Blockchain Group and the UK’s Smarter Web Company also made new BTC treasury allocations this week, purchasing $12.5 million and $24.3 million worth of Bitcoin respectively.

Remixpoint, a Tokyo-listed firm, raised $215 million to fund a planned accumulation of 3,000 BTC.

Fidelity’s FBTC saw its biggest withdrawal with a $172.73 million outflow, while Grayscale’s GBTC received a $119.51 million redemption.

ARKB of ARK21Shares recorded a $27 million outflow. Bitwise’s BITB has registered a $22.98 million redemption.

This was a rather late quarter for Bitcoin. But, in contrast, ETH-focused funds collectively withdraw $40.68 million in net inflows.

Institutional digital asset investment vehicles have enjoyed over $13 billion in inflows over the last nine weeks, according to leading global investment firm CoinShares.

In its latest Digital Asset Fund Flows Weekly Report, CoinShares finds that last week’s institutional digital asset inflows have risen compared to the numbers in previous weeks despite rising geopolitical uncertainty.

“Despite geopolitical concerns weighing on risk assets last week, digital assets remained resilient, attracting inflows alongside gold.

Digital asset investment products recorded US$1.9bn in inflows, marking the ninth consecutive week of inflows. This brings the total inflows during this run to US$12.9bn, while year-to-date (YTD) inflows have reached a new record of US$13.2bn.”

Regionally, the US led internationally with $1.9 billion in inflows. Germany, Switzerland and Canada followed with $39.2 million, $20.7 million and $12.1 million in inflows, respectively.

“In contrast, Hong Kong and Brazil experienced outflows of US$56.8m and US$8.5m, respectively.”

Following two consecutive weeks of outflows, flagship crypto Bitcoin (BTC) is back on top with $1.3 billion in inflows.

Leading smart contract platform Ethereum (ETH) has been on an eight-week inflow streak, totalling to $2 billion, adding $583 million in inflows last week.

“Following a 3-week run of outflows, XRP saw US$11.8m in inflows, while Sui saw a further US$3.5m inflows.”

Spot Ethereum ETFs register new inflow record with 19-day streak, capturing nearly $1.4 billion https://earlybirdsinvest.com/spot-ethereum-etfs-register-new-inflow-record-with-19-day-streak-capturing-nearly-1-4-billion/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/spot-ethereum-etfs-register-new-inflow-record-with-19-day-streak-capturing-nearly-1-4-billion/#respond Sat, 14 Jun 2025 06:20:46 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/spot-ethereum-etfs-register-new-inflow-record-with-19-day-streak-capturing-nearly-1-4-billion/

Spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed in the US set a new record by attracting net inflows for 19 consecutive trading sessions between May 16 and June 12, adding almost $1.4 billion.

According to Farside Investors’ data, the streak began with $35 million on May 16, passed $1 billion on May 29, and reached $1.38 billion after another $54 million on June 12. The heaviest single-day intake of $110.5 million occurred on May 22.

    Previous record attracted more capital

The uninterrupted flow replaces the previous high of 18 straight inflow days set from Nov. 22 to Dec. 18, 2024, when the same group of spot Ethereum ETFs absorbed about $2.5 billion, Farside data show.

While the earlier inflow streak gathered more capital in absolute terms, the current stretch sets a new benchmark for endurance and arrives less than one year after US regulators first cleared the products for trading.

As of June 12, spot Ethereum ETFs have accumulated nearly $3.9 billion and could cross the $4 billion threshold for the first time if the inflows continue during the June 13 trading session. This would mark a $1 billion net inflow in two weeks after these funds reached the $3 billion threshold for the first time.

Farside’s daily file shows that each of the nine US spot Ether ETFs contributed to the latest 19-day advance, with inflows averaging roughly $73 million per session.

BlackRock’s ETHA registered the most flows for the period, with over $972 million representing nearly 70% of the total.

Ethereum is leading in weekly flows

CoinShares’ recent weekly “Digital Asset Fund Flows” reports confirm the dominance at the fund level.

For the week ended May 30, Ethereum-linked products led the market with $321 million of inflows, marking a sixth consecutive positive week and lifting the cumulative total for the run to $1.19 billion.

CoinShares’ June 9 report logged another $295.4 million for Ether funds, their seventh positive week, pushing the streak’s aggregate to $1.5 billion. The movement represented about 10.5% of all Ethereum assets under management.

Institutional demand has stabilized after the early-year price consolidation that prompted outflows in February and early March.

CoinShares cited “a rebound in investor confidence” in its June 9 commentary, reiterating that the current inflow run ranks as Ether’s strongest since the post-election period in November 2024.

By surpassing both its own December durability mark and Bitcoin’s recent flow trends, Ethereum’s spot ETF cohort has strengthened its position as the second-largest crypto fund segment in the US by cumulative net creations.
