In his new role, Ben Gray oversees our legal, compliance and enterprise risk management operations and guides the company through a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

He will continue to maintain the highest standards of compliance and integrity as he further expands his geographic footprint and product portfolio. Ben will report directly to co-CEOS Arjun Sethi and David Ripley.

Ben brings over 15 years of experience at the intersection of blockchain, crypto and legal compliance. His career spanned a variety of roles, ranging from serving as a financial regulator in the US federal government in the early days of Bitcoin to working as a regulatory lawyer.

He pioneered a compliance framework for consumer crypto products with Block (formerly Square) and led an innovative Stablecoin initiative at Paxos, including USDG Stablecoin, which was launched in a partnership with Kraken.

His unique background and leadership skills will help him continue to expand his global footprint while navigating regulatory changes in key markets such as Europe and the US.

Ben will replace Marco Santori, our CLO since 2020. Marco is committed to building a world-class legal team, representing crypto at the global stage, helping to tackle critical regulatory challenges and staying as an advisor.
