CoinPayments and Jetcraft Team Up to Bring Crypto Payments to Private Aviation https://earlybirdsinvest.com/coinpayments-and-jetcraft-team-up-to-bring-crypto-payments-to-private-aviation/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/coinpayments-and-jetcraft-team-up-to-bring-crypto-payments-to-private-aviation/#respond Fri, 16 May 2025 20:56:47 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/coinpayments-and-jetcraft-team-up-to-bring-crypto-payments-to-private-aviation/

High-value transactions in private aviation are changing, and cryptocurrency is playing a key role.

CoinPayments has partnered with Jetcraft, one of the most established names in business aviation to enable secure, compliant, and efficient crypto payments for private jet purchases. This collaboration is designed to meet the rising demand from high-net-worth individuals and corporate buyers who are looking for greater flexibility in how they pay for premium services.

As digital assets continue to gain traction across global markets, more high-net-worth buyers are seeking ways to use them for practical, real-world purchases. This partnership brings together Jetcraft’s legacy in aviation with CoinPayments’ expertise in crypto payments to create a smarter and more modern transaction experience.

A Partnership Rooted in Excellence. Secured by Trust. Built for What’s Next

Jetcraft has spent more than six decades setting the global standard in business aviation. With a long history of serving high-net-worth individuals and corporate buyers, the company is known not just for its expertise but for its consistency, precision, and trust. Jetcraft has built a reputation for guiding clients through complex, high-value aircraft transactions with clarity and confidence.
CoinPayments brings to this partnership a different but equally essential legacy. As one of the longest-operating and most trusted crypto payment processors, it has facilitated more than $50 billion in digital transactions.

Today, over 250,000 merchants rely on CoinPayments’ solutions to support crypto payments across industries ranging from e-commerce to real estate, always with an emphasis on security, compliance, and ease of use.

Together, Jetcraft and CoinPayments are aligned in vision and values. Both are committed to delivering a more seamless, secure transaction experience for clients who expect premium service and modern flexibility. As digital assets become a more common part of the global financial landscape, this partnership offers a timely and practical path forward for private jet buyers who want to move with confidence.

What Crypto Adds to the Private Jet Buying Experience

For many buyers in the private aviation space, the transaction process can be complex, time-sensitive, and dependent on traditional banking systems that don’t always keep pace with client expectations. This partnership between CoinPayments and Jetcraft offers a modern alternative that gives buyers more control, greater flexibility, and a faster path to ownership.

Speed and Simplicity

Crypto transactions settle quickly, often within minutes. With CoinPayments integrated into Jetcraft’s process, buyers can move through escrow faster and avoid common delays that come with cross-border banking or currency conversions.

Privacy from Start to Finish

For high-net-worth individuals and corporate buyers, discretion is essential. Each transaction is encrypted and secured across every stage, giving clients the confidence that their purchase details remain confidential and secure.

Choice in How You Pay

Buyers are not limited to a single cryptocurrency. CoinPayments supports more than 30 major digital assets for payments and handles conversion automatically when needed. Whether it’s Bitcoin, Ethereum, or a stablecoin, the payment experience stays seamless.

Security and Compliance Built In

All transactions are aligned with global regulatory requirements. CoinPayments follows strict anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) protocols, ensuring every payment is handled with integrity and full regulatory oversight.

Less Dependence on Traditional Banks

Crypto payments remove many of the limitations that come with wire transfers, bank approvals, and currency exchange logistics. This is especially valuable for global buyers who want to act quickly without being slowed down by legacy systems.

By offering these capabilities, Jetcraft is delivering more than just an alternative way to pay. It’s giving clients a smarter, more adaptable ownership experience, powered by CoinPayments. And the timing could not be better.

A Timely Response to a Global Shift in Buyer Behavior

High-net-worth individuals are not just investing in digital assets. They are building substantial wealth with them. According to the 2024 Henley & Partners Crypto Wealth Report, the number of crypto millionaires surged by 95% over the past year, reaching 172,300 individuals worldwide. Notably, the count of crypto centi-millionaires (those holding over $100 million in crypto assets) rose by 79% to 325 individuals.

This rapid growth underscores a broader shift in how wealth is accumulated and utilized, signaling a new era where digital assets play a central role in high-value transactions.

The partnership between CoinPayments and Jetcraft is strategically positioned to meet this evolving demand. By integrating secure and efficient cryptocurrency payment solutions into the private aviation market, they offer a modern transaction experience tailored to the needs of today’s affluent digital asset holders.

At Jetcraft, we evolve with the ever-changing needs of our global clientele, many of whom dominate the tech, AI, and entrepreneurial spaces,” said Jahid Fazal-Karim, Owner and Chairman of the Board, Jetcraft. “However, we’re often constrained by outdated processes and systems. By partnering with CoinPayments, we’re bringing forward an innovative payment solution that matches the forward-thinking mindset of our customers.

Looking ahead, both companies see this as the foundation for more innovation across the private aviation and crypto sectors. The goal is not just to modernize how aircraft are purchased today, but to help define how high-value transactions are handled tomorrow.

    CoinPayments Integration Guide Steps

    Overview of Step 5: Integration Use-Cases

    • Integrated Checkout Flow: A pre-built, ready-to-use payment flow designed to handle the checkout process with minimal setup. Ideal for a range of integrations including invoicing, payment buttons, e-commerce plugins, and API-generated invoices.
    • White-labeled Checkout Flow: A customizable solution available through the CoinPayments API, allowing you to deliver a fully branded checkout experience with their own branding.

    In this guide, we’ll explore these use cases in detail, including:

    1. How to implement the Integrated Checkout Flow for different integration types.
    2. How to create a White-labeled Checkout Flow for a personalized customer experience.

    By the end of this guide, you’ll have a clear understanding of the capabilities of each integration type and how to apply them effectively to your business operations.

    Integrated Checkout Flow

    The Integrated Checkout Flow is a pre-built solution offered by CoinPayments, providing a seamless and efficient payment process for businesses. This flow requires minimal setup and is available across a variety of integration types.

    Supported Integration Types:

    • Invoicing Tool: Generate invoices for one-time or recurring payments.
    • Pre-generated Payment Buttons: Allow quick payments for fixed-price items or services.
    • E-Commerce Plugins: Use for invoicing in supported online store platforms.
    • API-Generated Invoices and Payment Buttons: Automate and customize the checkout process using API integrations.

    Checkout for Invoicing Tool, Pre-generated Payment Buttons, and e-Commerce Plugins

    Invoice or Payment Button Generation:

    1. Payment Generation:
      • When buyers receive an invoice generated via the CoinPayments Invoicing UI or e-commerce plugin and click on the “Pay Using CoinPayments” button, they are redirected to the CoinPayments integrated checkout flow
      • Also, clicking a pre-generated payment button redirects your client to the CoinPayments integrated checkout flow.
    1. Email Entry for Refunds:
      • The buyer provides their email address for potential refunds and clicks Continue
    1. Payment Currency Selection:
      • At the checkout step, buyers choose from multiple cryptocurrency options, each with accurate conversion rates for the order amount, giving the flexibility to pay with the currency of their choice.
    • CoinPayments locks crypto rates for one hour, ensuring price stability during the payment process.
    1. Payment Completion:
      • Buyers can make payments by scanning the provided QR code or copying the temporary payment address.
      • Email notifications update you and the buyer on the payment status, including confirmation.
    1. Transaction Monitoring:
      • Check the Transactions section to track the payment status, even before full blockchain confirmation.

    Note: Transactions generated via the CoinPayments Invoicing Tool or Plugins are categorized as “Invoice”, while those generated using Payment Buttons are categorized as “Payment” in your transaction history.

    • You can also check more detailed information about the invoice/payment by clicking on the transaction.

    Checkout for API-Generated Invoices and Payment Buttons

    The CoinPayments API offers powerful tools for businesses to automate payment processing. Using API-generated invoices and payment buttons, you can integrate seamless checkout flows tailored to specific use cases, such as subscription models or online purchases.

    Use Case: Subscription Payments with API-Generated Invoices

    Let us consider a subscription use case, where you have a platform that provides services with a subscription payment model. Every month you need to send out invoices to your users with the reminder to pay for the subscription and ability to collect this payment in crypto.

    CoinPayments API can automate the invoicing process. Here’s how it works:

    1. Generate an Invoice
      • Use the createInvoice endpoint to create an invoice with the following details:
      • Services for which the invoice is issued.
      • Customer details (e.g., name, payment address, and email, if available).
      • Cost of services.
    1. Exclude Certain Attributes:
      • When creating the invoice, ensure that the payment object together with paymentCurrency and refundEmail attributes are excluded unless whitelabeling is required.
    "payment": {
         "paymentCurrency": "4:0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7"
         "refundEmail": "jane_doe@hotmail.com"
       }
    1. Receive Invoice Details
    • As a response to the createInvoice endpoint, you will receive:
      • An Invoice ID to check status updates.
      • A link to the invoice document with the active Pay Using CoinPayments button, directing customers to the payment checkout flow.
    1. Share the Invoice
      • Share the invoice link with the customer, or if email delivery is enabled, they will receive the link automatically via email.
      • Additionally, as a response to the createInvoice endpoint, you will receive a direct link to the checkout flow, which you can share with customers if you prefer not to send the full invoice document.
    1. Track Payment Status:
      • Use the Transactions section to monitor the invoice status (transaction type: “Payment”).
    • If webhooks are enabled, receive real-time notifications for status changes such as:
    • invoiceCreated
    • invoicePending
    • invoicePaid
    • invoiceCompleted
    • invoiceCancelled
    • invoiceTimedOut

    Checkout for API-Generated Payment Buttons

    Let us consider another case. Imagine you run an online shop and want to accept crypto payments for your goods or services. To make the process quick and seamless for your clients, you can add a Buy-Now button next to each item. Using the CoinPayments API, you can enable your clients to complete their purchases with just a few clicks. Here’s how the process works:

    1. Generate the Payment Button
      • Use the createBuyNowButton endpoint to generate an HTML code snippet.
      • When creating the button, specify the product or service details, including the amount and cost.
      • Set the button type to “permanent”
    {
      ...
     "Payment": {
       "RefundEmail": "jane_doe@hotmail.com"
      }
    }
    1. Add the Button to Your Website
      • Copy and paste the generated HTML code into your website where you want the Buy-Now button to appear.
    • When open via browser, the code above will display a button
    1. Payment Flow
      • When clients click the Buy-Now button, they are redirected to the CoinPayments checkout page to complete the transaction.
    1. Track Payment Status:
      • The payment will be logged in the Transactions section of your CoinPayments dashboard with the type marked as “Payment“.
    • If webhooks are set up, you’ll receive notifications for each payment status update (e.g., invoiceCreated, invoicePending, invoicePaid, invoiceCompleted, etc.).

    White-labeled Checkout

    The Whitelabeled Checkout Flow allows you to fully customize the payment process using the CoinPayments API, enabling you to offer a branded experience on your platform. This method is ideal for businesses that want to keep the checkout process entirely within their own ecosystem.

    Custom Checkout for Online Stores

    For an online shop accepting cryptocurrency payments, the White-labeled Checkout Flow ensures that your customers can browse, shop, and pay without leaving your branded environment. Here’s how it works:

    1. Customer Initiates Checkout
      • Your customer selects products/services, adds them to the cart, and proceeds to checkout.
      • At checkout, they provide details like name, shipping method, payment address, and email, then click Pay
    1. Generate an Invoice
      • Use the createInvoice endpoint and include the customer’s email as the RefundEmail for handling overpayments or refunds:
    {
      ...
     "Payment": {
       "RefundEmail": "jane_doe@hotmail.com"
      }
    }
    1. Receive Invoice Details
      • The createInvoice response includes:
      • ‘invoiceId’ to get payment address and check payment status
      • A list of supported payment currencies, amounts, and fees.
      • A payment expiration timestamp.
    1. Generate a Payment Address
    1.  Provide Payment Details
      • As a result, buyer is presented with the following data:
      • Selected payment currency.
      • Payment address.
      • Total cryptocurrency amount to deposit.
      • Payment timer for completing the transaction.
    1. Optional: Pre-Define Payment Currency
    {
      ...
      "Payment": {
        "RefundEmail": "jane_doe@hotmail.com",
        "PaymentCurrency": "4:0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7"
        }
      }
    • The indication of the cryptocurrency id will trigger creation of the invoice together with payment and HotWallet (address for buyer). In the ‘createInvoice’ response you will receive a link to the CoinPayments checkout app:
        "invoices": [
            {
                ...
                "checkoutLink": "https://checkout.coinpayments.com/checkout/?invoice-id=56284ebf-8daf-4eed-a3a4-00a3ba255788",
        ...
        }
      ]
    }
    • With this link buyer will get directly to the checkout page with the payment address, QR code and timer for payment.
    1. Monitor Payment Status
      • Use the getPaymentStatus endpoint to track:
      • Payment status.
      • Amount detected and confirmed on the blockchain.
      • Amount detected but not yet confirmed.
      • Alternatively, if webhooks are set up, CoinPayments will notify you of status changes (e.g., invoiceCreated, invoicePending, invoicePaid, invoiceCompleted, etc.).

    Commercial Deposits and Balances

    Commercial deposits allow merchants to receive funds for services such as subscription payments or gambling accounts. With CoinPayments API, merchants can manage and sweep these deposits using various types of addresses tailored to their specific needs.

    Types of Commercial Addresses

    CoinPayments provides flexibility in managing commercial funds through three types of addresses: UTXO Addresses, Temporary Account-Based Addresses, and Permanent Account-Based Addresses. Each address type caters to different business needs, offering options for fund management, fee optimization, and customer-specific deposits.

    1. UTXO addresses

    UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) addresses are designed for accumulating funds and minimizing network fees by allowing bulk withdrawals. They are particularly beneficial for merchants who process large volumes of transactions or manage multiple customer accounts.

    • UTXO addresses can be permanently assigned to a merchant or specific customer for ongoing use, ensuring seamless fund management without additional reassignment.
    • By consolidating transactions into bulk withdrawals, UTXO addresses significantly reduce service and network fees.
    • UTXO addresses created through the API are considered permanent addresses, offering long-term flexibility for businesses managing commercial deposits.
    1. Temporary Account-based addresses

    A temporary address is an address that is not specifically assigned to any user of the CoinPayments platform. Such address exists in CoinPayments pool of addresses and is temporarily used for a particular commercial deposit.

    • CoinPayments randomly issues temporary addresses when a merchant requests a deposit in a particular currency.
    • These addresses remain assigned to the merchant for a set period set by CoinPayments before returning to the pool. The lease period is automatically renewed if a deposit is made within this timeframe.
    • Funds deposited to temporary addresses are automatically consolidated into the merchant’s corresponding wallet balance.
    • Since these addresses are not permanently assigned, customers must verify the correct address before sending funds to merchants.
    • CoinPayments does not charge fees for consolidating funds from temporary addresses into the wallet balance.
    1. Permanent Account-Based Addresses

    The merchant can decide to use permanent account-based addresses if it is important to manage funds/balances deposited by their customers individually.

    • Permanent addresses are assigned to specific clients indefinitely, enabling merchants to track individual deposits and balances more efficiently.
    • Balances are always swept in full to minimize the chances of small, unwithdrawable amounts being left due to network fees.

    The tradeoff of the permanent address vs. temporary address design is fees. To be able to use the funds from permanent addresses, merchant must consolidate addresses balances at some wallet balance of the currency. For this each new commercial address created within the API wallet must be activated.

    • A one-time activation fee is charged during the first withdrawal to consolidate funds from the address to the primary wallet.
    • Subsequent withdrawals incur standard network (transfer) fees.
    • Although the initial activation fee may result in higher upfront costs, repeated withdrawals from consolidated balances are more economical compared to withdrawals from temporary addresses.
    • Merchants can decide when to sweep funds from permanent addresses to their wallet balance.
    • Consolidation ensures that funds are available for further use while optimizing costs.

    Simplify Commercial Wallet Top-up

    A common case for merchants is to use wallets and addresses created via API for receiving payments from customers, e.g. top-up a subscription or casino account. You can simplify the deposit process for the customer by incorporating transaction details such as deposit amount, currency, and address into a QR code. This will decrease the possibility of an error when sending funds.

    Below is an example script you can use to generate a QR code for deposits:

    ```javascript
    ```

    Receive Commercial Deposits and Sweep Funds from UTXO Addresses

    UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) addresses are highly efficient for managing commercial deposits due to their ability to accumulate funds and minimize network fees. Below is the process for setting up and using UTXO addresses for commercial deposits.

    1. Create an API Wallet
      • Use the createWallet API endpoint to create an API wallet for the currency you want to accept or use an existing wallet.
      • Ensure that the usePermanentAddresses attribute is set to false when creating a new wallet.
    1. Generate a Deposit Address
    1. Share the Address with Customers
      • Provide the generated address or a QR code to customers for deposits.
    1. Monitor Transactions
    1. Sweep Funds
      • Once funds are received, you can sweep them without additional effort right from the wallet balance by creating a withdrawal using the createSpendRequest endpoint

    Note: You can choose to convert funds during the withdrawal process if required.

    Receive Commercial Deposits and Sweep Funds from Temporary Addresses

    The flow for receiving deposits to the temporary account-based addresses and withdrawing funds from account-based wallets is the same as for UTXO addresses.  Although, there are a few things to note:

    1. Temporary addresses stay assigned to the wallet by default for the period of 7 days (address lease period). Once this time period expires, the address returns to the CoinPayments pool of addresses.
    2. In case a customer makes at least one deposit to the same address within the address lease period, the lease period renews for another 7 days.
    3. Received funds are automatically consolidated into the balance of the wallet the address is assigned to at that moment. That’s why it is important that customers check which address they send funds to.
    4. CoinPayments charges no fees for consolidating funds from temporary addresses at the wallet balance.
    5. When withdrawing funds from such wallet, you pay only one network fee which is significantly lower compared to withdrawing funds from a number of regular account-based addresses.

    Receive Commercial Deposits and Sweep Funds from Permanent Addresses

    Permanent account-based addresses offer merchants the ability to manage individual customer balances with a higher level of control. These addresses are assigned to specific customers indefinitely, making them suitable for businesses that need to track deposits and balances for each customer separately.

    Below is the process to Use Permanent Account-Based Addresses

    1. Create a Permanent API Wallet
      • Use the createWallet API endpoint to create a wallet for your desired currency.
      • Set the usePermanentAddresses attribute to true to enable the use of permanent addresses.
    1. Generate Permanent Deposit Addresses
      • Use the createAddress API endpoint to create a permanent deposit address.
      • Initially, the address is inactive and although it can receive funds, it requires activation before funds can be swept from it.
      • Address activation requires activation fee. Address activation takes place within the address consolidation process that will be described further.
    1. Share Address Details
      • Provide the generated address or a QR code to customers for deposits.
    1. Monitor Deposits
    1. Activate and Consolidate Funds

    Once you are ready to sweep funds from the permanent addresses, you first need to consolidate the funds from the addresses at the wallet of the same currency that does not own permanent addresses (either Primary (UI) Balance of the currency or any other API wallet of the same currency within your account that has usePermanentAddresses attribute set to false).

    You have two options to consolidate addresses:

    a. Use the createWalletConsolidation API endpoint to consolidate funds from the addresses that belong to one API wallet into a wallet balance. You can consolidate funds to the balance of the wallet where the addresses belong or to any other wallet of the same currency within your account:

    • as walletIdStr path parameter indicate the API wallet which addresses you want to consolidate
    • as toWalletIdStr path parameter indicate the API wallet where funds from the addresses should be consolidated. If not provided, funds will be consolidated to the Primary Balance of the currency.
    • as addressIds query parameters indicate the addresses corresponding to walletIdStr that should be consolidated

    NOTE: Before actually executing the consolidation you have an opportunity to make a preview of the expected consolidation results by using getWalletConsolidation API endpoint. The result will provide you the breakdown of all fees associated with the consolidation of all the addresses within the wallet and the final amount to be consolidated on the wallet balance. You can use this endpoint to decide which addresses to consolidate to make the sweep most cost-effective.

    b. Use the createWalletsConsolidation API endpoint to consolidate funds from the addresses that belong to different API wallets of the same currency into a single wallet balance. You can consolidate funds to the balance of any wallet of the same currency within your account:

    • as toWalletIdStr path parameter indicate the API wallet where funds from the addresses should be consolidated. If not provided, funds will be consolidated to the Primary Balance of the currency.
    • as walletId and addresses request body attributes indicate wallets and their addresses that should be consolidated

    NOTE: Before actually executing the consolidation you have an opportunity to make a preview of the expected consolidation results by using createWalletsConsolidationPreview API endpoint. The preview result will provide you the breakdown of all fees associated with the consolidation and the final amount to be consolidated on the wallet balance. You can use this endpoint to check whether the consolidation outcome is what you actually expect and if any adjustments to the list of addresses to be consolidated is necessary to make the sweep most cost-effective.

    1. Fees During Consolidation
      • Activation Fee
        • For newly created, inactive addresses, an activation fee is charged during the first consolidation.
        • This fee applies to enable withdrawals from the permanent address for the first time.
      • Transfer Fee
        • Every time funds are consolidated (regardless of whether the address is already activated), a Transfer Fee is applied for sweeping funds from permanent addresses to the wallet balance.
      • Already Activated Addresses
        • No activation fee is charged for addresses that have already been activated in a previous consolidation.
    1. Withdraw Funds
      • Once funds are consolidated into your wallet, you can withdraw them using the createSpendRequest endpoint
      • During withdrawal, you have the option to convert the funds into another currency. To convert funds, specify destination currency id as toCurrency request body attribute of the spend request.
      • To make a simple withdrawal without conversion toCurrency must be the same as the currency of the walletIdStr path parameter.

    Manage Commercial Balances via Dashboard UI

    1. How to Move Funds from Primary Balance to API Balance

    CoinPayments separates funds between the Primary balance and API balances to enhance flexibility and security. This separation allows businesses to efficiently manage funds for different purposes while maintaining strict control over access.

    • Primary Balance: Funds stored here can only be accessed through the Dashboard UI and are not available via API.
    • API Balances: Funds in API wallets are accessible only through the API integration under which they were created, but they can also be viewed via the Dashboard UI.

    This approach provides several key benefits:

    • Developers have no access to the main business funds stored in the Primary balance
    • Developers can only manage funds specifically assigned to API wallets, ensuring limited exposure to sensitive funds.
    • Businesses can quickly allocate and top up API wallet balances for specific purposes, such as project budgets or operational expenses.

    In this tutorial you will learn how to top up your API balance via Dashboard UI.

    1. Create an API Wallet
      • Use the createWallet API endpoint to generate an API wallet for a specific currency.
      • Once created, the wallet will appear under the API Wallets tab in your Primary balance for that currency.
    1. Copy the API Wallet ID
      • For UTXO or account-based addresses with temporary wallets, copy the API wallet ID from the API Balances tab to deposit money from the Primary Balance
    1. Initiate a Transfer
      • Click the Send button next to the Primary wallet balance on the Dashboard UI.
    • In the pop-up form, paste the copied API wallet ID and enter the amount to transfer.
    • Confirm the transfer.

    Transferring Funds to API Wallets with Permanent Addresses

    For API wallets using permanent addresses, funds must be deposited directly into an address within the wallet rather than into the wallet balance itself:

    1. Generate an Address
    1. Verify Address Availability
    1. Initiate a Withdrawal
      • Create a withdrawal from the Primary balance via the Dashboard UI to the permanent address.
    1. Monitor the Transfer
      • Check the API Balances tab to confirm the funds are deposited into the API wallet associated with the permanent address.

    That’s it — congratulations on successfully integrating CoinPayments into your business!

    CoinPayments Integration Guide Steps

    Overview of Step 4: Testing Your CoinPayments Integration

    Now that you’ve integrated CoinPayments into your business and enabled additional features, it’s time for the final step: testing your setup.

    To make this process seamless, CoinPayments provides a dedicated cryptocurrency for testing, called Litecoin Testnet (LTCT). LTCT is a free-to-use test coin with no real monetary value, specifically designed to help you simulate transactions and ensure your integration works flawlessly.

    In this guide, we’ll walk you through:

    1. Enabling Litecoin Testnet payments and obtaining free LTCT.
    2. Testing your integration using LTCT.
    3. Disable Litecoin Testnet payments.
    4. Submitting a support request if you encounter any issues.

    Enable Litecoin Testnet Payments & Get Free LTCT

    To test your CoinPayments integration, you’ll need to enable Litecoin Testnet payments and obtain free LTCT. Here’s how to set it up:

    1. Access the Balances Tab:
      • Go to the Balances tab on your CoinPayments dashboard.
    1. Locate the LTCT Wallet:
      • The Litecoin Testnet (LTCT) wallet will be listed at the top.
    1. Get Free LTCT:
      • Click the Get Free LTCT button to enable LTCT payments.
      • Refresh the Balances page after a few seconds to see your updated balance.
    • You should receive 10 LTCT in your wallet for testing purposes.

    Important Notes About LTCT:

    • LTCT operates on an alternate blockchain solely for testing and experimental purposes. These coins have no monetary value and may be reset by developers in future versions.
    • Within the CoinPayments system, LTCT has an artificial exchange rate of 1 LTCT = 1 LTC.
    • Regular Litecoin and LTCT addresses are different, and transactions between the two blockchains are not possible.
    • If your CoinPayments LTCT wallet remains inactive for 7 days, any remaining LTCT coins are returned to the pool.

    Test Your Integration

    After enabling LTCT and receiving your test balance, it’s time to ensure your integration works as intended by simulating a transaction. Here’s how to perform the test:

    Create a Test Transaction

    1. Generate a Payment Option:
      • Create an invoice using the Invoicing Tool, a payment button via the Payment Buttons Builder, or any other integration method you’ve set up.
    1. Access the Payment Interface:
      • Open the invoice or payment button in a new browser tab and proceed to the CoinPayments Checkout step
    • Enter an email address for potential refunds, then click Continue.
    1. Select LTCT as the Payment Method:
      • On the Coin Selection screen, choose Litecoin Testnet (LTCT) as the payment currency and click Next

    Note: if you have not completed account verification yet, LTCT will be your only option for payment and this step will be skipped automatically.

    1. Review the Checkout Details:
      • On the final Checkout page, you will see:
        • The LTCT payment address.
        • A QR code for the payment.
        • A payment timer.
    1. Initiate the Payment
      • Copy the LTCT payment address and note the payment amount.

    • Enter the amount of LTCT to send and paste the payment address.
    • Confirm the transaction by entering your 2FA code, then click Submit
    •  Confirm the transaction by entering your 2FA code, then click Submit
    • You will receive an email notification of the payment initiated.
    1. Alternative Payment Option:
      • Use the CoinPayments mobile app to scan the QR code and send the LTCT payment directly.

    Verify the Test Transaction

    Once the payment is completed and has received the required blockchain confirmations, verify the following:

    • Does your eCommerce store update the payment status correctly (e.g., indicate readiness for the next step such as shipping or download)?
    • Is the incoming payment logged as Complete in your CoinPayments Transactions tab?

    If all these elements work as expected, your integration is functioning correctly, and you’re ready to start accepting real crypto payments in your business.

    Disable Litecoin Testnet Payments

    1. Log into your CoinPayments account and click the Payment Settings tab in the main dashboard menu.
    2. Search for Litecoin Testnet (LTCT) in the list of payment currencies.

    CoinPayments Integration Guide Steps

    Overview of Step 3: Additional Features

    Now that your CoinPayments account is operational, you can leverage more features to manage your crypto assets effectively. By the end of this guide, you will be able to use the following features to optimize asset management and security:

    1. Recover Assets: Recover assets sent to the wrong address within the same blockchain.
    2. Auto-Sweep: Automate withdrawals or conversions when your wallet reaches a specified balance.
    3. Secured Vaulting: Add a time-release lock on specific wallets for enhanced security.
    4. Transaction History
    5. Webhook History
    6. Fiat Settlement (TBD)

    These tools are designed to simplify your crypto operations while ensuring your funds are secure and accessible.

    Recover Assets

    Mistakenly sending assets to the wrong address can be a common issue, but CoinPayments offers a self-service solution to recover such assets sent to the wrong address for all tokens within the SAME blockchain. The feature allows for automatic or manual handling of recovery and is available ONLY for deposits to merchant addresses.

    Example:

    If you provide an ETH address to customers for deposits and a customer accidentally sends USDT.ERC20 to this address, CoinPayments will treat this as a mistake because token balances and native coin balances are managed separately. The system identifies the deposit’s currency and automatically forwards the funds to your USDT primary balance. This ensures that assets are not lost due to address mismatches. Here’s how to set up the feature:

    Set Up Automatic Handling

    1. Activate Auto-Accept for Incorrect Deposits:
      • Go to the Balances tab and turn on the Auto-Accept Incorrect Deposits into Primary Balances toggle.
    • Once an erroneous deposit is detected, CoinPayments identifies the currency being sent and forwards the funds to your primary wallet for that currency.
    • The transaction will appear in your Transaction History as a successful deposit.

    If a customer sends USDT to your ETH address, the system will redirect the funds to your USDT main wallet, and this will be recorded as a successful deposit.

    Set Up Manual Handling

    For greater control over how erroneous deposits are managed, you can opt for manual handling. This allows you to review flagged transactions and decide whether to claim the funds.

    1. Deactivate Automatic Handling:
      • Go to the Balances tab and turn off Auto-Accept Incorrect Deposits into Primary Balances toggle.
    • When an erroneous deposit is detected, CoinPayments identifies the currency and marks the transaction as Pending in your Transaction History
    • Example: If a customer sends USDT.ERC20 to your ETH address, the system will flag this deposit as pending in your USDT main wallet.
    1. Claiming the Deposit:
      • Open the flagged transaction in your Transaction History
      • Click Claim Deposit to transfer the funds to your primary wallet for the detected currency.

    Note: CoinPayments charges a handling fee of approximately 1% for processing erroneous transactions, and the net amount credited to your wallet will reflect this deduction.

    Auto-Sweep

    The Auto-Sweep feature allows you to automatically withdraw and/or convert the entire balance of a specific coin wallet once it reaches a designated balance level.

    Once enabled, it is a convenient tool for automating asset management and ensuring your funds are transferred or converted without manual intervention.

    This feature needs to be set up for each coin individually.

    Key Features

    • Automatically withdraw balances that exceed a specified minimum amount.
    • Convert funds to another cryptocurrency if the destination address is for a different coin e.g. receive Bitcoin, convert automatically to USDT.

    How to Set Up Auto-Sweep

    1. Locate and Open Auto-Sweep Settings:
      • Go to the Balances tab on your CoinPayments dashboard.
      • Scroll down to locate the wallet of the coin for which you want to enable Auto-Sweep
      • Click on the coin wallet to open its settings.
      • Select the Auto-Sweep tab within the wallet’s settings.
    1. Configure the Auto-Sweep Settings:
      • Choose the wallet to Auto-Sweep from. By default, this will be the Primary Balance.
    1. Set a Trigger Amount:
      • Enter the minimum balance level that will trigger the Auto-Sweep
    1. Choose the Destination Wallet/Address:
      • Select the wallet or address where the funds will be sent.
      • If the destination wallet is for a different cryptocurrency, the funds will be automatically converted.

    Note: In case of conversion, you need to generate a new wallet address for the coin you want to convert into (e.g. for auto-sweep from BTC to ETH, you need to create an ETH address where converted funds will auto-sweep from the BTC wallet). You can create a new address for the destination coin for auto-sweep from the Balances tab.

    1. Save and Confirm:
      • Click the Save button to apply your settings.
      • Confirm the changes using your two-factor authentication (2FA) method.
    • A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address immediately after setup.

    Secured Vaulting

    The Vaulting feature provides an additional layer of security for your CoinPayments account by placing a time-release lock on specific coin wallets. This ensures that the balance in the locked wallet cannot be withdrawn, transferred, converted, or used in any way until it is unlocked.

    Key Features

    • Restricted Access: While locked, your coins cannot be accessed or used, but payments and deposits to the wallet remain uninterrupted.
    • Time-Release Lock: Once unlocked, a pre-specified delay (up to 56 hours) must pass before access is granted.
    • Email Notifications: You’ll receive an email notification when the lock is removed, giving you time to take action if your account has been compromised.

    How to Lock Coins in the Vault:

    1. Locate and Open the Vaulting Tab:
      • Go to the Balances tab on your CoinPayments dashboard.
      • Scroll down to find the wallet of the coin you wish to lock in the vault.
      • Click on the coin wallet to open its settings and select the Vaulting tab.
    1. Set the Lock Duration:
      • Enter the amount of time (up to 56 hours) you wish to lock the coins after they are released.
      • Click Lock Balance
    1. Review Vaulting Terms:
      • Read through the list of actions that are restricted while your coins are locked.
    1. Confirm and Complete:
      • Click the Lock Balance button to finalize the vaulting process.

    Important Notes

    • Vaulting is a proactive measure to prevent unauthorized access or movement of funds in case of a breach.
    • You cannot cancel or adjust the lock duration once it is set until the specified time passes.
    • Use this feature for high-security wallets or funds not required for immediate transactions.

    Transaction History

    The Transaction History feature allows you to review all incoming and outgoing transactions within your account. This includes deposits, withdrawals, conversions, and payments for goods and services. It provides a comprehensive record of your account activity, ensuring transparency and accountability.

     To access the feature in the main dashboard menu navigate to the Transactions tab.

    8. Integration name under which transaction is performed.
    9. Webhook URL.

    Webhook Notification Status Descriptions

    Webhook notifications have the following statuses that provide updates on their progress:

    • Sent – webhook notification successfully delivered to the webhook URL
    • Failed – webhook notification failed to be delivered to the webhook URL and all the retries are expired
      • NOTE: CoinPayments takes 10 tries to deliver the webhook notification to the specified URL. In case automatic delivery fails, the notification status is set to failed. You can still resend the notification manually by using the retry button.
    • Retrying – webhook notification is being delivered to the webhook URL. CoinPayments is retrying to deliver the notification to the webhook URL

    Setting up Webhook Notifications

    Via Dashboard UI

    You can set up webhook notifications for invoices via CoinPayments Dashboard UI.
    NOTE: The URL that will be provided in the Dashboard UI will be the default URL for all invoices created via API unless overwritten for a specific invoice. Invoices created via Invoice Builder do not support webhook notifications.

    1. Go to Integrations.
    2. Select the integration for which you want to set up notifications.
    3. Enter the URL for sending webhooks into the Webhook URL field
    1. You can add as many links as you want by clicking Add button.
    2. Click on the Settings button. Select the notification types you want to receive
    1. Then click Save

    Via API

    You can set up webhook notification via API when creating invoices, wallets and addresses.

    For invoices, use `webhooks` object in the `createInvoice` endpoint request.
    Url provided for a specific invoice overrides the default webhook notification URL set up via Dashboard UI.

    For wallets, use `webhookUrl` attribute in the `createWallet` endpoint request.
    Notifications for all transactions within the wallet will be sent to this address.

    You can specify a webhook URL at the address level. For this use `notificationUrl` attribute in the `createAddress` endpoint request.  Notifications for all transactions associated with the address will be sent to this URL. This URL overrides the webhook URL set up at the wallet level where the address belongs.

    • 2FA Method: Update or switch your Two-Factor Authentication method.
    • Password: Change your password to maintain security.
    • Identity Verification: If not yet completed, you can finalize verification from this tab.

    Tip: Regularly update your preferences to ensure your account is secure and up-to-date.

    Payment Settings

    Managing your payment settings is key to ensuring your operations run smoothly. This section will guide you through optimizing your payouts and other options for seamless operations.

    CoinPayments makes this process simple by applying advanced optimization mechanisms. By batching payouts and minimizing individual transaction fees, you can save time and reduce costs.

    1. Access Payment Settings
    • Navigate to Payment Settings from the dashboard to get started.
    1. Choose Payout Modes
    • Decide how you want to handle your payouts for each enabled currency

    Available options are:

    • To Balance: Received payments are stored in your main CoinPayments wallet for the selected currency. For security, these funds are accessible only through the CoinPayments Dashboard UI.
    • To Address: Payments are sent to the address or wallet ID specified by you as soon as they are received by CoinPayments. This can be an internal CoinPayments wallet (merchant/API address) or an external wallet. Funds sent to a CoinPayments wallet are accessible through both the Dashboard UI and API integration.
    • Hourly to Address: Payments are grouped and sent to the specified address or wallet ID every hour. This option helps reduce network fees. Funds sent to a CoinPayments wallet remain accessible via both the Dashboard UI and API integration.
    • Nightly to Address: Payments are grouped and sent every night at approximately midnight (GMT-05:00). This option also helps save on network fees. Funds sent to a CoinPayments wallet remain accessible via both the Dashboard UI and API integration.
    • Weekly to Address: Payments are grouped and sent every Sunday at approximately midnight (GMT-05:00). This option is ideal for minimizing transaction costs. Funds sent to a CoinPayments wallet remain accessible via both the Dashboard UI and API integration.
    1. Enable Payout Conversion:
    • Convert incoming payments into another currency before they’re sent to your wallet. For instance, you can set up Bitcoin (BTC) payments to be converted into Litecoin (LTC) and sent directly to your LTC wallet.
    1. Set Discounts and Markups:
    • Incentivize your customers to use certain currencies by offering discounts.
    • Apply markups to specific currencies to offset any associated network fees.
    • Select an option for each currency from the dropdown list. Then provide the value of the discount or markup.

    Tip: Use discounts to guide customer preferences and save on transaction costs!

    1. Manage Underpayment Settings:

    Cryptocurrency rates are volatile which often leads to underpayments from customers. However, sometimes it is more beneficial for the merchant to receive the payment with a small underpayment rather than lose the deal completely.

    Set the underpayment amount in absolute fiat value or percentage from the received payment to close the deals promptly without dealing with refunds and double-payments:

    1. Select the fiat currency according to which the underpayment value is calculated:
    1. Set the value of underpayment in the absolute value of the currency or in percentage of a payment.
