The Cardano community has made an important call to major crypto exchange Coinbase. This follows a clarification on asset listings made by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong in the past week.

On Friday, the Coinbase CEO shared with the crypto community that the crypto exchange has published a “Guide to the Digital Asset Listing Process” in a bid to enlighten crypto project users. This, according to the Coinbase CEO, was necessitated by the exchange getting a ton of questions about how and why assets get listed, and in order to boost transparency, the guide was then written.

According to the guide, applications for listings are free, merit-based and evaluated under the same standards,  with review times ranging from hours to months, depending on complexity and completeness.

Cardano community makes crucial call

Aside from Binance and Upbit, Coinbase accounts for one of the largest trading platforms for Cardano’s ADA, with the crypto exchange expanding its support for the digital asset.

In June 2025, Coinbase launched its wrapped Cardano token, cbADA, on Ethereum layer-2 network Base, enabling Cardano holders to access the DeFi ecosystem.

While ADA is gaining ground on the Coinbase crypto exchange, the same cannot be said for native assets on the Cardano network. Since the Mary ledger upgrade, Cardano has supported multi-assets, referred to as native tokens or assets.

In line with this, Cardano focused community X account, Cardanians, makes a call to Coinbase, imploring it to start listing Cardano native assets/tokens, stating it is time the Cardano ecosystem gets the recognition it deserves.

In separate news, Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson believes Cardano’s best days are ahead of it. “Now we have a constitution, hundreds of DReps, and a ratified budget. We’ve done all this in just one year.Imagine what we can achieve in the next 3–5 years,” the Cardano founder stated.

With the market recovering to a cap of $3.95 trillion, the crypto price prediction for most major coins has significantly improved today.

This includes the outlook for XRP, Cardano (ADA) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), which have all benefited from the expectation that the Fed will finally cut rates when it meets on the 17-18 of this month.

These three coins have all risen in the past 24 hours, and while their respective gains aren’t substantial, they prepare the ground nicely for a bigger rally in the next couple of weeks.

And given their fundamentals, each of them could have a very strong end to the year, potentially reaching new highs.

Crypto Price Prediction Today 5 September

XRP (XRP): Ripple Expansion Boosts the Case for New ATH in Q4

Rebounding from a seven-day low of $2.72, XRP is now sitting at $2.84, marking a slight 0.3% gain in the past 24 hours.

The altcoin does remain down by 2% in a week and by 3.5% in the last 30 days, yet it boasts a 410% increase in the past year.

This makes it one of the best-performing top-20 cryptos across this timeframe, yet its enviably strong fundamentals would suggest that things can only get better in Q4.

This is largely because Ripple continues to grow as a business, having thrown off the shackles of its battle with the SEC in early August.

It has announced new acquisitions and new partnerships in recent weeks (e.g. in Dubai and Africa), boosting the bull case for XRP over the medium- and long-term.

XRP chart - crypto price prediction.

XRP’s chart today shows that it’s very close to hitting bottom, at which point it could rebound strongly.

Its two main indicators—the MACD (orange, blue) and RSI (yellow)—have both flattened out after several weeks of decline, a sign that buyers are returning to buy XRP at a relative discount.

What’s also bullish is that the XRP price has formed a pennant over the past couple of months, from which it may break out very soon.

If it does climb above the psychologically important $2 level, it could begin a climb towards $2.50 and $3.

And if it breaks its current ATH of $3.65, it could potentially end the year closer to $5.

Cardano (ADA): Steady Growth of Layer-One Network Shows Massively Undervalued Native Token

ADA has returned to $0.826 today, marking a 1% gain in 24 hours and a 13% increase in the past month.

While it has declined in the past week, the crypto price prediction for ADA remains very positive, if only because it’s still massively below its ATH of $3.09, which it set back in September 2021.

This failure to set a new record in recent months may be disappointing, but it’s arguable that it gives Cardano the space to outpace market averages in the coming months.

This is why Ethereum (ETH) has done recently, and given Cardano’s fundamentals, it could do something similar.

Indeed, Cardano is something of a dark horse in the crypto market, with its network growing and evolving steadily.

The Cardano blockchain currently has a TVL of $365 million, a figure which has risen by 640% since the beginning of 2023 (while ADA’s price has risen by only 225%).

This shows its gradual growth, which gives ADA a great platform for further price appreciation in the longer term.

Cardano chart - crypto price prediction.

Its chart today shows it moving into what could be a major position, with ADA also looking like it could break out of a pennant in the very near future.

Its MACD and RSI also have flattened out in recent days, suggesting that a period of decline may have reached an end.

Given these factors, and given that the coin is still massively undervalued, it could return to $1 in the next few weeks, before rallying above $2.50 by the end of the year.

Shiba Inu (SHIB): Undervalued Meme Token Has Fundamentals for Big Xmas Rally

At $0.00001226, Shiba Inu has just about posted a 24-hour gain today, while it’s also up by a very modest 0.5% in the past month.

However, it has bucked the general trend by posting a loss of 9% in the past year, which may arguably point to serious problems for the coin, which appears to be struggling to attract interest.

Having said that, SHIB is also in a position similar to Cardano, in that it’s 85% below its ATH ($0.00008616) and could therefore make big headway in the coming months.

Unlike many other meme tokens, Shiba Inu and its team has gone to great lengths to give it more utility, having launched its own DEX (ShibaSwap), its own layer-two network, and various dapps.

It’s therefore entirely arguable that the market is undervaluing SHIB substantially at the moment, and that it will soon catch up once the market enters full ‘bull mode’ towards the end of the year.

Shiba Inu price chart.

Its chart today suggests that it too is close to a bottom, and may recover strongly soon.

The catalyst for a recovery may be the aforementioned FOMC meeting in the middle of September, which could result in a long-awaited rate cut.

In such a scenario, the SHIB price could reach $0.000020 by October, and could even end the year above $0.000040.

Wall Street Pepe Gains Momentum As It Prepares for Solana Token Launch

The crypto price prediction for the three coins above looks very good right now, but there are also other, newer alts that traders may want to consider as they diversify their portfolios.

New coins can often outperform the market as they enjoy their initial growth spurts, as we’ve seen with the likes of SPX6900, MemeCore and Pump.fun.

One of the newest and most interesting coins showing potential right now is Wall Street Pepe (WEPE), an ERC-20 meme coin that’s currently in the process of launching a Solana-based version of its token.

Wall Street Pepe launched in February, having enjoyed one of the biggest presales in recent memory, during which it raised over $73 million.

This gave it enormous momentum going into its launch, while the coin has also risen by over 260% since the end of May.

It’s now taking this impetus and using it as it launches an SLP version of its WEPE, which investors can buy by visiting the Wall Street Pepe website.

By launching on Solana, WEPE will take advantage of the latter’s superior speed and scalability, while also benefiting from a wider market of potential users and investors.

This launch could be a big boost for Wall Street Pepe, and timing arguably couldn’t be more perfect, given that the market seems ready for a big end-of-year rally.

Cardano’s mood music has flipped. Even as ADA has rebounded about five percent from its late-August lows, on-chain analytics firm Santiment says the asset’s typically optimistic retail crowd has swung to its most negative stance in five months.

In an X post accompanying its sentiment chart, the firm wrote: “Cardano has quietly seen its normally optimistic crowd start to turn bearish. After the lowest sentiment recorded in 5 months, $ADA’s price is +5%. Patient holders and dip buyers during this three week downswing should root for this trend of bearish retailers to continue.”

Santiment framed that shift in classic contrarian terms. “Prices typically move the opposite direction of the crowd’s expectations. When small traders sell off their bags out of impatience and frustration, it is generally the key stakeholders who accumulate and drive up prices again,” the post added.

The graphic shared by the firm plots ADA’s price against a running ratio of bullish versus bearish social commentary and annotated three distinct phases over the past month: an early-August “greed” spike where the bullish-to-bearish ratio surged to roughly 12.8:1 and was followed by a pullback; a mid-August “fear” pocket near 2.0:1 that preceded a rally; and, most recently, the most bearish reading in five months around 1.5:1, coinciding with ADA’s +5% bounce.

The sequencing in Santiment’s chart supports the firm’s message that outsized crowd optimism or pessimism frequently appears near short-term inflection points. The short-term price path into that rebound has been marked by a three-week downswing that began around August 14.

Cardano Faces Decision Zone

Independent market analyst Quantum Ascend ties the bounce to a clearly defined higher-time-frame structure. Posting a daily ADA/USD chart, the analyst wrote: “ADA Respecting a channel on the high time frame dating back to early June. Higher Highs, Lower Lows. Short-term decline dating back to August 14 channeling as well. Price Currently sitting atop the .382 Fib at $0.82. Cardano’s decision point appears near, but we still need to be looking to the Macro. Regardless, I’m very bullish long-term.”

In Quantum Ascend’s view, ADA is tracking an ascending channel that has contained price action since mid-June. The short, blue corrective channel from August 14 sits inside that broader up-channel and has carried price back to the lower end of the channel as well as a Fibonacci retracement cluster derived from the June–August advance.

The analyst’s chart places the 0.382 retracement near $0.821, which has acted as first support and the immediate “decision point.” Below that, the same mapping highlights the 0.309 retracement around $0.762 and the 0.236 near $0.702 as deeper pullback areas inside the macro structure.

Overhead, the analyst’s levels mark successive checkpoints at the 0.5 retracement near $0.879, the 0.618 near $1.043, the 0.702 around $1.083, the 0.786 near $1.151, and the 1.0 extension around $1.326—levels that also align with prior supply pockets and the upper boundary of the ascending channel later in the quarter.

At press time, ADA traded at $0.8177.

Shiba Inu (SHIB): Ready to Fade Into Oblivion? XRP: Final Stand, Cardano (ADA) Bulls: Price Collapse Is One Move Away https://earlybirdsinvest.com/shiba-inu-shib-ready-to-fade-into-oblivion-xrp-final-stand-cardano-ada-bulls-price-collapse-is-one-move-away/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/shiba-inu-shib-ready-to-fade-into-oblivion-xrp-final-stand-cardano-ada-bulls-price-collapse-is-one-move-away/#respond Thu, 04 Sep 2025 01:03:59 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/shiba-inu-shib-ready-to-fade-into-oblivion-xrp-final-stand-cardano-ada-bulls-price-collapse-is-one-move-away/

The market is on the verge of exiting the consolidation stage, with Shiba Inu, XRP and Cardano being on verge of their local formations that should boost volatility and push either asset into their next stage.

Shiba Inu at crossroads

With price action indicating the possibility of a significant breakdown, Shiba Inu is at a crucial crossroads. The token is stuck inside a narrowing triangle and is currently trading at about $0.0000123, but the overall structure is bearish.

Due to buyers’ inability to maintain momentum above resistance levels, each bounce has been weaker than the last. The consistent drop in trading volume is the most concerning indication. Volume has been declining since early August, which suggests that traders’ interest and involvement are waning.

Article image
SHIB/USDT Chart by TradingView

Declining volume during consolidation frequently precedes strong breakouts in cryptocurrency markets, however, since SHIB is already under pressure, the likelihood of a breakdown rather than a recovery is higher.

Technically speaking, SHIB will encounter resistance right away in the range of $0.0000130-$0.0000132, and then the 200-day moving average close to $0.0000139. Every upward attempt has been capped for weeks at these levels. Support for the downside is located just above $0.0000120. The next target might be $0.0000110 or even $0.0000100, a level that runs the risk of adding another zero to SHIB’s valuation if it significantly breaks below this.

Additionally, a classic indicator of deteriorating market structure, the descending trendline from the recent highs, is still forcing lower peaks. Bearish momentum will probably prevail unless SHIB can break out above that line with significant volume. That is, there is a genuine chance of oblivion.

In addition to possibly correcting further, SHIB runs the risk of becoming irrelevant for traders seeking stronger momentum plays if support gives way while volume keeps declining.

XRP’s last test

It appears that XRP is nearing a final stand at its current price. The token is currently trading at about $2.83, just above the 100-day EMA at $2.77, which serves as the crucial line of defense. If XRP is unable to maintain this zone, it may fall toward $2.50 and ultimately the psychological $2.00 level.

The symmetrical triangle pattern that had been supporting the price since mid-August is clearly broken in the chart. XRP was forced below the lower trendline by sellers, and although it has stabilized for the time being, momentum is still brittle. A clear close below $2.77 would validate the bearish trend.

Title news

The pattern in the volume adds to the uncertainty. The steady decline in trading volume is frequently an indication that sellers are worn out, and that bearish pressure is abating. However, low volume can also indicate fund outflows and disinterest, making XRP more susceptible to steeper drops when liquidity evaporates.

XRP has some breathing room for a recovery, as the RSI, which is currently hovering around 44 and reflecting neutral-to-weak momentum, does not yet exhibit any bullish divergence. Regaining $2.95-$3.00 is crucial for bulls. Strength would only be indicated by a persistent return above $3.00, which would pave the way for $3.10-$3.20.

XRP might still bounce back and reenter a consolidation range if support remains at the 100-day EMA. But if it fails, sentiment quickly shifts against it, making the path to $2.00 much more likely. This is a make-or-break situation for XRP investors for the time being.

Cardano’s patience

Cardano is putting its holders’ patience to the test once more. After weeks of losing momentum, the token is currently trading at a pivotal level, with bulls finding it difficult to maintain control. According to the short-term technical picture, the 100-day EMA and the crucial $0.80 support zone are both in the vicinity of ADA.

There is still hope for a recovery in ADA despite the negative undertones. The $0.80 area has previously shown itself to be resilient, serving as a base for several recoveries. Buyers can continue on their current trajectory toward $0.90 and $1.00 if they can defend this level once more.

Title news

A psychological shift would be signaled by a breakout above $1, which might draw momentum traders and investors who had been sidelined back into the market.

However, volume trends are not very promising. Everyday trading activity has decreased, indicating a general decline in enthusiasm. This makes ADA susceptible because, when markets turn risk-off, a lack of conviction can hasten downward pressure. However, these quiet periods frequently come before explosive moves, so the next sessions are very important.

The indecision is highlighted by the RSI, close to 48, which is in neutral territory and does not indicate oversold or overbought conditions. This implies that ADA has some leeway.

In general, the market is struggling, as there isn’t much of bearish support coming in and the majority of investors are bracing themselves for multiple breakdowns, especially if Bitcoin fails to deliver in the next few weeks.

Cardano Founder Says Chainlink Quoted Them An ‘Absurd Price’, Here’s Why https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-founder-says-chainlink-quoted-them-an-absurd-price-heres-why/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-founder-says-chainlink-quoted-them-an-absurd-price-heres-why/#respond Wed, 03 Sep 2025 21:34:01 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-founder-says-chainlink-quoted-them-an-absurd-price-heres-why/

Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, has clarified why the blockchain platform was excluded from a prominent US government initiative meant to publish official economic data on public blockchains. Blockchain networks like Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Optimism made the cut; Cardano didn’t. Hoskinson revealed during a YouTube AMA that the reason wasn’t technical or regulatory, but it was grounded in economics. Specifically, he said the integration fee quoted by Oracle specialist Chainlink was absurd, which made Cardano’s participation really unfeasible.

Chainlink’s Absurd Fee

As one of the biggest blockchain ecosystems, Cardano’s inability to participate in the US government’s recent blockchain initiative to bring macroeconomic data onto the blockchain took many crypto participants by surprise. However, while speaking at a recent surprise AMA on his YouTube channel, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson says the reason boils down to money.

Related Reading

According to Hoskinson, the main reason was due to its pending partnership with Chainlink’s oracle integration, which is yet to be finalised because of the absurd fee charged by Chainlink. Hoskinson did not shy away from strong language: “They gave us an absurd number for integration. I said ‘f– it, we’ll handle it. We’ll figure it out,’” he said.

Despite the frustration, he tempered his critique with respect. He described Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov as “extremely smart” and “a very good businessman”, someone who “sees the future” and, in Hoskinson’s words, is “sitting on a golden egg”.

Chainlink’s oracle solutions are very important for connecting smart contracts to real-world data. As such, Hoskinson’s metaphor acknowledges Chainlink’s powerful position in the blockchain ecosystem.

How It Stalls Cardano’s DeFi Growth

Without a cost-effective oracle integration, Cardano’s decentralized finance landscape has struggled to keep pace with other blockchain ecosystems. To put this into perspective, Ethereum’s integration with Chainlink has allowed large inflows into its DeFi ecosystem, with about $13.4 billion in Total Value Locked (TVL) added from between August 2 ($78.222 billion) and August 31 ($91.595 billion), according to data from DeFiLlama.

Related Reading

Meanwhile, Cardano’s TVL broke below $400 million in August, and daily active addresses have also fallen massively. At the time of writing, Cardano’s TVL is sitting at $367.91 million. The result is a disconnect between Cardano’s on-chain activity and ADA’s price action, which witnessed a steady increase in August alongside the rest of the crypto market.

Nonetheless, Hoskinson is still optimistic. Talks with Chainlink are ongoing, and he’s determined to find common ground with Chainlink. He also revealed discussions with the team behind the USD1 stablecoin and hinted at potential collaboration with Aave, which he described as part of a bundle. If USD1 (already launched on Ethereum, BNB, and Tron) comes to Cardano, it could become the ecosystem’s largest stablecoin. Combine that with oracle access and lending support from Chainlink, and Cardano could strengthen its DeFi foundations significantly.

At the time of writing, Cardano is trading at $0.8307, up by 1.1% in the past 24 hours.

Cardano (ADA) Faces Selling Pressure – Is This the Start of a Trend? https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-faces-selling-pressure-is-this-the-start-of-a-trend/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-faces-selling-pressure-is-this-the-start-of-a-trend/#respond Mon, 01 Sep 2025 06:10:03 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-faces-selling-pressure-is-this-the-start-of-a-trend/ Cardano price started a fresh decline below the $0.850 zone. ADA is now consolidating and might extend losses below the $0.80 support.

  • ADA price started a fresh decline below the $0.850 support zone.
  • The price is trading below $0.8320 and the 100-hourly simple moving average.
  • There is a key bearish trend line forming with resistance at $0.820 on the hourly chart of the ADA/USD pair (data source from Kraken).
  • The pair could start a fresh increase if it clears the $0.820 resistance zone.

Cardano Price Dips Further

After a steady increase, Cardano faced sellers near $0.880 and started a downside correction, like Bitcoin and Ethereum. ADA dipped below the $0.850 and $0.8320 support levels.

The bears even pushed the price below $0.820. A low was formed at $0.8003 and the price is now consolidating losses. There was a minor increase toward the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $0.8376 swing high to the $0.8003 low.

Cardano price is now trading below $0.820 and the 100-hourly simple moving average. There is also a key bearish trend line forming with resistance at $0.820 on the hourly chart of the ADA/USD pair.

On the upside, the price might face resistance near the $0.820 zone. The first resistance is near $0.8280 or the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $0.8376 swing high to the $0.8003 low. The next key resistance might be $0.840.

Cardano Price

If there is a close above the $0.840 resistance, the price could start a strong rally. In the stated case, the price could rise toward the $0.8620 region. Any more gains might call for a move toward $0.880 in the near term.

Another Decline In ADA?

If Cardano’s price fails to climb above the $0.840 resistance level, it could start another decline. Immediate support on the downside is near the $0.80 level.

The next major support is near the $0.780 level. A downside break below the $0.780 level could open the doors for a test of $0.7620. The next major support is near the $0.750 level where the bulls might emerge.

Technical Indicators

Hourly MACD – The MACD for ADA/USD is gaining momentum in the bearish zone.

Hourly RSI (Relative Strength Index) – The RSI for ADA/USD is now below the 50 level.

Major Support Levels – $0.8000 and $0.7800.

Major Resistance Levels – $0.8200 and $0.8400.

Charles Hoskinson used his latest AMA to unleash his most forceful critique yet of the Cardano Foundation (CF), defending the decision to exclude the CF from claiming Midnight’s NIGHT tokens while outlining aggressive multi-chain partnerships, airdrop mechanics he says could be among the largest ever, and a near-term push around Token2049 and an Asia tour.

At the center was the Midnight redemption controversy. Asked “to address the decision to limit the CF from claiming NIGHT tokens,” Hoskinson framed the move as a necessary risk control rooted in the airdrop’s terms. “We built it. It’s my money. We can do whatever the hell we want to do,” he said, adding that the distribution included a disclaimer about “undue burden and harm to the network.”

Hoskinson Torches Cardano Foundation

He asserted ownership of the CF’s ADA is “not clear,” claiming “the Swiss government stole the ADA,” and warned that letting the CF redeem would introduce an adversarial governance bloc: “They’d come in and instantly be adversarial […] and assert that they have some sort of governance control. Let somebody else have that NIGHT who’s going to do something more with it.”

He escalated further later in the stream: “At what point does the community tell the CF to f*** off […] the free [stuff] they already squandered?” and, when pressed on why to blacklist the Foundation’s addresses, replied, “Why invite a bad actor […] into an ecosystem?”

He added to his rant: “I’m out there alone and it’s expensive, guys. Some of these deals with the big guys, they’ve become eight figure deals. […] It’s frustrating because all of our competitors have foundations that in some cases have endowments that are in the billions to tens of billions of dollars and they’re hungry and aggressive, and they’re doing stuff and they’re investing in stuff and they’re really pushing things forward.”

Hoskinson also insisted that the Midnight rollout materially benefits Cardano rather than siphoning attention from it, pointing to custody and exchange integrations set up to list both Midnight and Cardano-native assets. “We just announced today the Copper partnership[…] any exchange that uses Copper as a custodian […] can now support that asset. And […] they didn’t just agree to support Midnight. They agreed to support Cardano and Cardano native tokens,” he said, grouping Copper with relationships involving Bitcoin.com, Blockchain.com and Brave.

Hoskinson also said IOHK is working with Chainlink on a first-ever UTXO deployment: “We sat down with Sergey [Nazarov] […] They’re skeptical about the engineering cost […] [but] ‘I think we can figure it out.’”

The CF critique broadened into a sweeping governance and resourcing indictment. Hoskinson alleged the Foundation “is just not deploying capital in meaningful ways,” noting its absence from recent conferences: “When I was at Salt […] who wasn’t there? The CF. When we were at Rare Evo […] there was no CF booth.”

The Midnight Foundation Is Different

By contrast, he cast the Midnight Foundation as aggressively commercial—110 deals in the pipeline and “hungry” account management across ecosystems—and pointed to Intersect, Cardano’s members-based body, as the organ that now embodies his original foundation vision: “You already got a members-based organization […] It took two years to build it […] Now just add like $600 million […] and give them four extra years.”

He drew a direct line from CF governance to reputational damage: “Members of the organization are low-key soft accusing us of stealing money […] Were there any apologies? Was there any attempt for reconciliation?”

The animus with the CF bled into an evidentiary promise. Hoskinson said the audit report is in the final stages—“we’re so close to the release”—intended to “close out a 10-year history lesson from 2015 to 2025,” including “the original contracts with IO […] how much funds were raised […] the sale […] ADA vouching,” and audits tied to the Cardano Foundation.

Hoskinson framed it as “complete exoneration on our part,” and “very damning” for the CF’s “recusal […] of their responsibilities,” arguing that the Foundation’s decision to distance itself from Cardano’s origin story “created a lot of problems.” The purpose, he said, is “sunlight”: “You push it all out there […] and I think those conclusions will be very positive and favorable to Input Output.”

At press time, ADA traded at $0.8795.

Cardano’s first full‐cycle ecosystem budget has reached its finish line. On August 19, 2025, Intersect—Cardano’s member-based organization that facilitated the process—announced: “Our ecosystem budget and withdrawal process has now reached its conclusion… DReps have approved ₳264m in ecosystem funding.” In the same statement, Intersect said the pipeline began with 194 proposals submitted through GovTool and the Ekklesia poll, was refined off-chain to 40, and ultimately produced 39 on-chain treasury withdrawals—37 of which cleared the required thresholds.

First Cardano Budget Cycle Closes

Intersect added that “more than 30 vendors have now signed contracts,” with those agreements being published for public review. The live “Intersect Administered Contracts” ledger confirms a growing roster of counterparties and amounts—ranging from the ₳64.3 million “Catalyst 2025” program to infrastructure and tooling efforts such as a ZK bridge and maintenance of key developer libraries. Intersect says additional contracts will be posted in the days ahead “together with the funding of related smart contracts.”

The conclusion caps a months-long governance sequence that combined off-chain deliberation and on-chain ratification. In July, Intersect submitted 39 Treasury Withdrawal governance actions for DRep and Constitutional Committee scrutiny; throughout late July and early August, proposals began surpassing the 67% DRep supermajority threshold that marks passage under CIP-1694’s current regime. Intersect’s development updates documented the first wave of supermajorities and directed participants to follow each proposal’s progression epoch by epoch.

With votes cast and thresholds met, Intersect has outlined what happens next. After a proposal passes, it is ratified at the epoch boundary, then enacted one epoch later, moving funds from the Treasury to designated smart-contract holding addresses. Intersect’s administration team finalizes legal agreements, deploys vendor-specific contracts with milestone schedules, and co-signs them alongside an oversight committee. Intersect’s August guidance emphasized the three-stage sequence—ratification, enactment, administration—and pledged status updates as each vendor’s contract goes live on-chain.

The mechanics behind those disbursements have been built for transparency. Intersect’s knowledge base details an end-to-end flow: withdrawals fund partitioned “Treasury Contracts”; vendors sign written agreements; “Vendor Contracts” encode milestones and payment dates; the oversight committee holds keys to provide checks and balances; and vendors withdraw only as milestones mature. Funds sit effectively in escrow, are auditable on-chain, and unclaimed balances time out back to the Treasury.

To monitor the delivery phase, Intersect points the community to two public dashboards. A Smart Contract dashboard exposes milestone breakdowns, dates, and payment events for each funded project, while a Cardano Treasury dashboard tracks flows from the Treasury into the reserve and project contracts.

The now-published contract catalog provides a first look at how the approved ₳264 million will be administered across core infrastructure, governance tooling, developer experience, and ecosystem programs. Entries include continued development for the AdaStat explorer, ongoing maintenance of PyCardano, and a ZK bridge prototype—illustrating the mix of large-scale programs and targeted technical workstreams that made it through the final on-chain filters.

IOG Takes The Lead

Cardano’s single largest allocation goes to Input Output’s core protocol program. Intersect’s contract ledger lists ₳96,817,080 for the “2025 Input Output Engineering Core Development” proposal, dedicated to “engineering, maintenance, and development services to enhance and secure the Cardano protocol and its core infrastructure,” explicitly framed as delivery of the community-endorsed technical roadmap. A companion research track, “Input Output Research (IOR): Cardano Vision – Work Program 2025,” adds ₳26,840,000 for multi-year research and technology validation.

Intersect also shows two further IOG-administered items—₳5,159,000 to overhaul Project Catalyst’s technical stack and ₳1,300,000 to decentralize the Blockfrost API via a gateway and “Icebreaker” network—bringing Input Output–family contracts to roughly ₳130.1 million, just under half of the approved ₳264 million budget.

Input Output characterizes the engineering mandate as the first community-authorized core development program in Cardano’s history, approved with 73.93% support. In its newsroom statement, IOE says the funded roadmap will advance scalability, developer experience, and interoperability through initiatives including Ouroboros Leios, Hydra, Mithril enhancements, nested transactions, and Project Acropolis—a modular re-architecture of the node—with “faster sync times, lower RAM usage, and reduced operational costs for stake pool operators.”

At press time, ADA traded at $0.92.

Cardano (ADA) Remains Green Despite Market Pullback – Is It Ready For A 70% Run? https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-remains-green-despite-market-pullback-is-it-ready-for-a-70-run/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-remains-green-despite-market-pullback-is-it-ready-for-a-70-run/#respond Fri, 15 Aug 2025 08:09:46 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/cardano-ada-remains-green-despite-market-pullback-is-it-ready-for-a-70-run/

After hitting a new multi-month high, Cardano (ADA) has retraced alongside the rest of the market. Some analysts suggest that the cryptocurrency is ready to reclaim crucial resistance levels and hit new highs in the coming months.

Cardano Holds Crucial Support Despite Pullback

On Thursday, Cardano experienced an 11% drop after surpassing the $1.00 barrier for the first time since March. ADA’s retracement was fueled by the crypto market’s pullback, which saw massive liquidations throughout the day.

According to CoinGlass data, the crypto market saw over $1.05 billion in liquidations over the last 24 hours, driven by higher-than-expected macroeconomic signals. Notably, the PPI number revealed an annual headline inflation of 3.3%, way higher than the 2.5% forecast.

Additionally, the US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed that the US government will not be purchasing additional Bitcoin for its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR), established by President Trump in March 2025. Instead, the US will stop selling its BTC holdings and continue to build up the reserve’s stash through confiscated assets.

As a result, Bitcoin, which hit a new all-time high (ATH) of $124,128 on Wednesday night, retraced to the $117,000-$118,000 support zone, while the rest of the market turned red.

Nonetheless, Cardano has gone against the current, becoming the only cryptocurrency in the top 50 list to remain in green despite the broader market pullback, with a 3.5% increase in the daily timeframe.

In the last 24 hours, ADA has broken out of its local range, hitting a five-month high of $1.02 on Thursday morning. Amid the market drop, ADA held above its breakout level, hovering between the $0.89-$0.91 range over the past few hours, and it’s attempting to break out of its current levels.

ADA To Repeat Last Cycle’s Playbook?

Analyst Ali Martinez noted that ADA has been trading within a descending channel since the Q4 2024 rally, which saw the cryptocurrency hit its multi-year high of $1.32 in December.

During this period, Cardano has attempted to break out of the descending resistance twice, finally passing this barrier after surging above the $0.84 mark. To the analyst, a confirmed breakout from this level targets a 70% run to $1.50.

Previously, Martinez suggested that ADA is showing the same price structure as the last cycle, but it’s more gradual. Other analysts have also noted that the altcoin appears to be repeating its 2020-2021 playbook.

Crypto Yhodda highlighted that after hitting its 2018 high, Cardano saw an ABC corrective wave before consolidating within an ascending broadening wedge formation for two years.

The cryptocurrency consolidated near the range-high after rejection from the pattern’s resistance in 2020, and before breaking out to its 2021 ATH of $3.09.

This cycle, the altcoin has repeated the same movements, accumulating within the same pattern since 2022. Since being rejected from the ascending resistance in late 2024, ADA has been trading between the mid and high zones of this pattern.

To the analyst, Cardano is ready to climb again to the formation’s resistance, around the $1.80 area, and break out to new highs.

As of this writing, ADA is trading at $0.90, a 20% increase in the weekly timeframe.

Long-term Cardano holders are not taking profit despite booming market, ETF speculation https://earlybirdsinvest.com/long-term-cardano-holders-are-not-taking-profit-despite-booming-market-etf-speculation/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/long-term-cardano-holders-are-not-taking-profit-despite-booming-market-etf-speculation/#respond Wed, 13 Aug 2025 17:49:19 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/long-term-cardano-holders-are-not-taking-profit-despite-booming-market-etf-speculation/

Cardano’s most loyal investors are bucking the usual profit-taking trend and are steadily adding to their ADA stacks even as prices and market heat indicators climb.

Data from Alpharactal showed that ADA long-term holders (LTH) have been steadily accumulating the digital asset since 2021 without showing signs of significant distribution.

This consistency signals confidence in Cardano’s long-term growth and a willingness to hold through potential volatility.

Meanwhile, part of this cohort’s resilience may stem from ADA’s price still sitting 74.76% below its all-time high of $3.09, reached in September 2021.

The incentive to sell may not be compelling for many investors who bought during that cycle until the asset returns to those record levels. On the other hand, ADA short-term holders (STH) are exhibiting a surprisingly more cautious behavior in the current bullish market conditions.

Notably, this cohort quickly sold during 2021’s market rally but now applies far less selling pressure despite ADA’s 150% year-on-year gain.

Instead, Alphractal noted that they have modestly increased their positions in the digital asset.

Overheated market

Outside of these traders’ behaviour, on-chain indicators suggest ADA market conditions are hot and could give the asset another significant price run.

The adjusted Sharpe Ratio, a gauge of risk-adjusted returns, stands at roughly 1, reflecting the strong market performance compared to previous cycles.

Historically, ADA has seen sharp, parabolic rallies when this ratio approaches 2, making the current reading potentially supportive of further gains.

Aside from this indicator, a major bullish catalyst may be forming on the regulatory front.

Data from the decentralized prediction marketplace Polymarket gives Cardano an 80% chance of seeing a US-approved ETF this year. This places it among a small circle of altcoins with such significant odds.

If confirmed, an ETF could draw significant new demand from institutional and retail investors alike,e which could increase ADA’s value.
