The move-to-earn (M2E) NFT mobile game, STEPN, has unveiled a limited collection of phygital sneakers as part of its ongoing GG Box Event.

According to an update from the project, these sneaker NFTs are up for grabs to users who participate in the event by buying and opening GG Mystery Boxes.

The GG Box Event was launched by the Find Satoshi Lab (FSL) ecosystem. FSL, the blockchain behind STEPN, was created by the teams behind the M2E app, the Telegram-based FSL Game Hub, and STEPN’s NFT marketplace MOOAR. The event provides teams with a way to connect deeply with their users and audience.

Inside a GG Box, users will find annual percentage yield (APY) boost coupons of up to 15% for FSL’s new yield-generating stablecoin, Good Game US Dollar (GGUSD). There are also GGUSD cash prizes, keys for future boxes, and mystery rewards. As of August 27, users had claimed over $10,000 in GGUSD rewards, according to FSL Ecosystem.

Some of the most exciting contents of the GG Mystery Box are the GGUSD sneakers, which are either Common or Genesis STEPN sneakers.

STEPN, on its part, is not new to the NFT sphere. In April 2024, the project launched the Genesis Sneakers collection in collaboration with the fashion giant Adidas. The limited edition collection was among the co-branded collectibles released during the one-year partnership between the firms. The collection features 1,000 phygital collectibles, each sold for 10,000 Green Metaverse Tokens (GMT). GMT is STEPN’s governance and higher-level token. 

For the GG Box Event, STEPN has released 80,000 mystery boxes, each costing 1 GGUSD. Participants can also trade the boxes on MOOAR. To participate in the event and potentially win a rare GGUSD sneaker, STEPN users can purchase box keys for 1 GGUSD in the provided website.

Interestingly, FSL has promised extra GG Boxes for participants in an attempt to encourage others to participate. The platform said it will drop an additional GG Box for every GG Box a user has opened since launch. The snapshot for the giveaway is set for August 28, 00:00–12:00 UTC.

Meanwhile, the GG Mystery Boxes are also available on STEPN GO. This is a game that allows users to burn their shoes to earn points, which can be considered a form of energy. Bitcoin (BTC) remains boxed between $105,000 and $125,000, but a breakout could prompt prices toward $141,000, according to Glassnode’s July 29 report.

The Short‑Term Holder (STH) cost basis, a key pivot between bullish and bearish local regimes, sits near $105,400. This metric is key to defining BTC’s subsequent movements.

Price has repeatedly met resistance around the STH +1 band at nearly $125,100, labeled as a “heated” area. A decisive close above that level would shift focus to the STH +2 band near $141,600, where sell‑side pressure historically intensifies.

Surviving the weekend stress test

The report also highlighted that the weekend stress test passed. Network liquidity absorbed one of the cycle’s largest distribution events as an early investor, via Galaxy Digital, moved roughly $9.6 billion worth of Bitcoin across market and OTC venues.

The spot price fell to $115,000 before stabilizing near $118,000, indicating market depth even during thin weekend hours.

The report estimated that the Realized Cap, which is dollar-denominated liquidity embedded in the chain, is at over $1 trillion, a scale that helps explain the swift stabilization.

Furthermore, flow metrics spiked around the event. Net Realized Profit/Loss hit a record $3.7 billion, while realized profits exceeded losses by a 571x multiple. These levels are seen on only 1.5% of days.

The report cautioned that extreme profit‑taking often precedes local exhaustion but doesn’t always immediately mark a top, as prior peaks have followed with a lag.

Rotating capital

Holder rotation is still in positive breadth. Long‑Term Holder Net Realized P/L surged to an all‑time high $2.5 billion, the largest single sell‑side print on record, as Long-Term Holders (LTH) distributed into strength.

The LTH/STH supply ratio has contracted 11% in 30 days, mirroring distribution waves seen near each all-time high this cycle.

Nevertheless, more than 97% of supply remains in profit, aggregate unrealized profits reached $1.4 trillion, and unrealized profit as a share of market cap is back above levels representing a blend of euphoria, risk, and demand tailwind.

LTHs still hold 53% of network wealth, leaving additional supply that could unlock at higher prices.

Cost‑basis distribution shows a high‑volume node at $117k-$122k and a low‑volume “air‑gap” at $115k-$110k that the market may re‑test on weakness.

Within STH sub-cohorts, the 24-hour to 3-month ribbon sits $110k-$117k, reinforcing that area as first support.

Until buyers clear $125K with conviction, the $105k-$125k range holds.

What is Moonfrost?

Moonfrost is an upcoming Web3 life simulator and farming RPG, built on Open Loot, and available on PC via the Epic Games Store.

Developed by UK-based studio Oxalis Games, and inspired by the likes of Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, players start from humble beginnings to create their own flourishing in-game farm. By growing plants, gathering resources and harvesting your crops, you’ll invite a cast of characters to your land, build relationships with them, and collect new crafting and gathering options to improve your plot.

Players have been able to experience the game via a number of time-limited alpha releases so far. During these play periods, players have gathered SHARDs – an in-game currency that is expected to reward players with an allocation of the the soon-to-launch ecosystem token $FROST.

Rumor has it that Samsung may compensate for the slow rollout of One UI 7 by releasing One UI 8 based on Android 16 much earlier than usual. Last month, an early One UI 8 build was spotted online, suggesting that the company had already started testing the software release for the Galaxy S25 series. Now, a new report claims that it could offer the new software release on its next-gen foldables at launch.

Samsung is expected to lift the covers off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 this summer. We’ve already seen a few leaks about the foldable devices, suggesting that Samsung could offer some minor design and performance improvements on both models. The devices could also run One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box, according to insider info obtained by Sammobile.

This seems plausible as Google plans to release Android 16 for its Pixel devices sometime this June or July. Since Samsung typically launches its foldables around the same time, it could host its next major Unpacked event shortly after the stable Android 16 rollout and launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 with the new software build.

It’s safe to assume that One UI 8 will incorporate all the significant changes that Google introduces with Android 16. Whether or not Samsung packs additional features for its foldable phones remains to be seen.
