TL;DR: Unmatched sound meets unmatched comfort with these Sony WH-1000XM5 Noise Cancellation Headphones — now 52% off at just $189.99 (Reg. $399.99)

Headphones have never gone out of style. Though the devices we attach them to have gotten smaller, sleeker, and increasingly more addictive, there’s something about the humble over-ear headphones that has outlasted cassette players and iPods alike. But one thing has changed: headphones themselves are increasingly tech-enabled. Ready for a world class experience in sound technology and noise cancellation? Meet the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones.

Style meets function

It’s official: over-ear headphones are the coolest way to experience sound. AirPods and other inner-ear variations had their run, especially amongst the corporate and gym-going set, but they’re not versatile, and they have no sex appeal. Meanwhile, wired earphones have a sort of nostalgic coolness, but are more trouble than they’re worth. Over-ear headphones have it all. They look cool, they travel well from the workplace to the gym or your commute, and they have the added bonus of offering both sound and noise-canceling capabilities.

Block the world out with world class noise cancellation

Whether you’re listening to music, an audiobook, or a podcast, these luxe Sony headphones will make sure you hear ever whispered word. Thanks to their meticulous sound engineering, you can listen or talk easily with hands-free calling and multipoint connection across your devices. In the opposite mood? Enjoy the industry-leading noise cancellation in any environment. Use the intuitive touch controls to effortlessly switch between modes from speak-to-chat to quick attention mode or instant pause and play.

And thanks to this Grade A refurbished model, you don’t have to choose between quality and cost. These like-new headphones don’t make you compromise. Get all the benefits of high-tech sound with just 3 hours of charging for 30 hours of uninterrupted listening. You’ll never want to take them off.

Geneva, Switzerland, September 11, 2025  – TRON DAO, the community-governed DAO dedicated to accelerating the decentralization of the internet through blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps), proudly participated as a 3 Block Sponsor of CoinDesk: Policy & Regulation conference, held on September 10 at Convene Hamilton Square in Washington D.C. Formerly known as “State of Crypto,” this one-day, boutique event hosted by CoinDesk was designed to bring general counsels, compliance officers and regulatory executives together with the public officials responsible for crypto legislation and regulatory oversight.

Throughout the day, key policymakers, regulators and government officials met with influential leaders in asset management and financial services across both cryptocurrency and traditional finance sectors. TRON’s participation was highlighted through a panel focused on the T3 Financial Crimes Unit (T3 FCU) initiative. Moderated by Adrian Wall, Managing Director of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA), “The T3 Collaboration: Combating Illicit Finance and Establishing Anti-Financial Crime Frameworks” featured distinguished speakers including John O. Hurston, General Counsel, TRON DAO; David Feder, Partner, Fenwick & West LLP; Ari Redbord, Global Head of Policy, TRM Labs; and Erin Fracolli, Global Head of Special Investigations, Binance. Throughout the discussion, panelists addressed multiple aspects of the unit’s successful model for combating cryptocurrency-related financial crime, such as legal and regulatory considerations, operational insights, and critical steps to take in the fight against financial crimes.

Since launching less than a year ago, T3 FCU has frozen over $250 million USD in illicit assets globally. T3 FCU has worked closely with law enforcement agencies worldwide to identify and disrupt criminal networks. The unit has analyzed millions of transactions across five continents, monitoring over $3 billion USD in total volume. This comprehensive monitoring capability enables T3 FCU to work across borders, identifying and disrupting criminal operations in real-time, making it an invaluable resource for law enforcement agencies worldwide.

Following the panel, an afternoon networking break, one of two sponsored by TRON DAO, took place for attendees to connect and engage in meaningful dialogue on the future of digital asset regulation. Participation at CoinDesk’s Policy & Regulation 2025 event reaffirms TRON DAO’s commitment to ensuring that blockchain technology is leveraged responsibly, with the safeguards needed to promote transparency, security, and financial inclusion.

Is there a command to block IP addresses from being tracked? https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-there-a-command-to-block-ip-addresses-from-being-tracked/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-there-a-command-to-block-ip-addresses-from-being-tracked/#respond Fri, 05 Sep 2025 03:21:20 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-there-a-command-to-block-ip-addresses-from-being-tracked/

No, if you don’t want to display your IP address, use TOR (or I2P, slightly similar systems).

You can’t ask people to do well to not track you down. When you connect to them they will inevitably see your IP, and there’s nothing you can do to stop them from recording this. When you want to connect to you to other people, you have no choice (have your software) to give them your IP.

The only option is not to use an IP address as a way to identify a node. TOR and I2P are just common ways to achieve just that, but in fact they have drawbacks like increased latency.

Google to verify all Android devs to block malware on Google Play https://earlybirdsinvest.com/google-to-verify-all-android-devs-to-block-malware-on-google-play/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/google-to-verify-all-android-devs-to-block-malware-on-google-play/#respond Wed, 27 Aug 2025 03:46:13 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/google-to-verify-all-android-devs-to-block-malware-on-google-play/

Google to verify all Android devs to block malware on Google Play

Google is introducing a new defense for Android called ‘Developer Verification’ to block malware installations from sideloaded apps sourced from outside the official Google Play app store.

For apps on Google Play, there was already a requirement for publishers to provide a D-U-N-S (Data Universal Numbering System) number, introduced on August 31, 2023.

Google says this has had a notable effect in reducing malware on the platform. However, the system didn’t apply to the vast developer ecosystem outside the app store.

“We’ve seen how malicious actors hide behind anonymity to harm users by impersonating developers and using their brand image to create convincing fake apps,” reads Google’s announcement.

“The scale of this threat is significant: our recent analysis found over 50 times more malware from internet-sideloaded sources than on apps available through Google Play.”

Although the threat is more prevalent outside Google Play, the developer verification requirement applies to both apps on Google Play and apps hosted on third-party app stores.

Starting in 2026, all apps installed on certified Android devices must come from developers who have verified their identity with Google.

Early access to the Developer Verification program will begin this year in October, and the system will open to all Android application developers in March 2026.

In September 2026, the identity verification requirement will become mandatory for Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, before it rolls out globally in 2027.

The expected effect is to have sideloading, non-compliant apps blocked by the operating system with a security message on certified devices.

Certified Android devices are those that have passed Google’s Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) and are approved to ship with Google Play Services, Play Store, and Play Protect.

In practice, this encompasses all mainstream devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and the Google Pixel line.

Non-certified devices are those from Huawei, Amazon Fire tablets, and shady Chinese TV boxes or smartphones that use heavily modified OS images and questionable components.

Those devices are not subject to the new rule enforcement, and their users will be able to continue sideloading APKs from unverified and anonymous developers.

Ben Waxman to Block Politicians From Crypto Trading in Pennsylvania https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ben-waxman-to-block-politicians-from-crypto-trading-in-pennsylvania/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ben-waxman-to-block-politicians-from-crypto-trading-in-pennsylvania/#respond Sat, 23 Aug 2025 05:31:33 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/ben-waxman-to-block-politicians-from-crypto-trading-in-pennsylvania/

A Democratic representative for District 182 in Pennsylvania, Ben Waxman, has introduced a bill to stop public officials from profiting from cryptocurrency while in office.

The legislation, HB1812, was introduced with eight Democratic co-sponsors. If the measure becomes law, it would update state statutes to block elected officials and their immediate families from crypto transactions over $1,000 while serving and for a year after leaving office.

It also requires them to sell any current holdings within 90 days of the law taking effect.

The proposal carries strict consequences. Violations could bring fines of up to $50,000, and in some cases, prison sentences of as long as five years.

Waxman explained:

In Pennsylvania, no public official should be allowed to use their office to enrich themselves through cryptocurrency schemes.

He added, “That’s why I’m introducing legislation to prohibit elected officials from profiting off cryptocurrency while in office. This includes launching, promoting, or trading in coins where they hold a personal financial interest”.

Waxman pointed to President Donald Trump’s involvement in the Official Trump meme coin and accused him of supporting policies that weaken federal oversight of the crypto sector.

By covering family members as well as officials, the bill aims to prevent indirect profits. It also sets clear deadlines with both a 90-day divestment rule and a one-year cooling-off period after leaving office.

Recently, Wisconsin legislators proposed a bill, Senate Bill 386, to address scams linked to cryptocurrency kiosks. What does the bill cover? Read the full story.

holdings in the second quarter of 2025 by adding 108 BTC.

According to the 10-Q form, this brought the company’s total Bitcoin treasury to 8,692 BTC.

The new purchase cost Block around $11 million. Altogether, its Bitcoin investment stands at $1.15 billion. The company recorded a $212.2 million gain from revaluing its Bitcoin in Q2, compared to a $70.1 million loss in the same period last year.

Block also reported financial results for the quarter. Total revenue reached $6.05 billion, a 1.5% increase from the first quarter’s $5.96 billion. Gross profit rose to $2.54 billion, up from $2.33 billion the previous quarter.

Of the total revenue, $2.14 billion came from Bitcoin sales through Cash App. These sales earned Block a gross profit of $66 million. While Cash App handles large volumes of Bitcoin transactions, the profit margins remain relatively low.

Bitcoin has become a key part of Block’s long-term plans. In the first quarter, the company added 207 BTC to its holdings, with a combined cost of $20.6 million for both Q1 and Q2 purchases.

Recently, Jack Dorsey introduced a test version of a decentralized messaging app called Bitchat. How does it work? Read the full story.

Is it possible to cancel spending branches after block height? https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-it-possible-to-cancel-spending-branches-after-block-height/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-it-possible-to-cancel-spending-branches-after-block-height/#respond Mon, 28 Jul 2025 23:11:50 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/is-it-possible-to-cancel-spending-branches-after-block-height/

I want a policy to act like that:

  • in front Block 1 000 000→2 ‑ 3 Can be used with multi-sign quorum (keys A, B, C).
  • At / after Block 1 000 000→ only You can spend on another 2‑ of ‑3 quorum (keys x, y, z). The A/B/C path must be disabled.

Here’s an attempt at naive miniscript:

andor(
  ln:after(1000000),       // height check
  multi(2, X, Y, Z),       // “after” branch
  multi(2, A, B, C)        // “before” branch
)

But I believe after() You can add only conditions. You cannot permanently disable a previous A/B/C branch. Therefore, both 2‑3 quorums remain usable forever.

Is my understanding correct or is there something missing? Do I need a new opcode/softfork to “cancel” my previous spending terms?

Check the block verification status of LDB-Block 0 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/check-the-block-verification-status-of-ldb-block-0/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/check-the-block-verification-status-of-ldb-block-0/#respond Sun, 27 Jul 2025 15:37:17 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/check-the-block-verification-status-of-ldb-block-0/

It reads the Bitcoin Core LevelDB index (block/index) and uses the Blockstatus flag to determine if the block is valid and part of the active chain.

Currently using the following checks:

if ((BlockStatus & BLOCK_VALID_MASK) >= BLOCK_VALID_CHAIN)

This seems to work for most blocks, but fails at block 0. 11.
As a result, the condition is evaluated error.

I think this is because block 0 is hardcoded and is probably handled differently by core.
So my question is:

  1. Is this a reasonable proxy that assumes that the block is fully validated based solely on LevelDB metadata? Or is this check essentially unreliable for that purpose?
  2. How does Bitcoin Core handle block status internally for block 0?
  3. You must skip block 0 and apply this check only to blocks
    height > 0?

Chain-State UTXOS Decoding: TXID, Block Height, and Balance Improper https://earlybirdsinvest.com/chain-state-utxos-decoding-txid-block-height-and-balance-improper/ https://earlybirdsinvest.com/chain-state-utxos-decoding-txid-block-height-and-balance-improper/#respond Sat, 26 Jul 2025 03:38:00 +0000 https://earlybirdsinvest.com/chain-state-utxos-decoding-txid-block-height-and-balance-improper/

I’m trying to make a rust tool set to read UTXOS directly from the chain state. I mostly follow Bitcoin sources in letters (at least I think so).

I have decode_varint

pub fn decode_varint(data: &(u8)) -> Option<(u32, usize)> {
    let mut n: u32 = 0;
    let mut shift = 0;

    for (i, &byte) in data.iter().enumerate().take(5) {
        let part = (byte & 0x7F) as u32;
        n |= part << shift;

        if byte & 0x80 == 0 {
            return Some((n, i + 1));
        }

        // Bitcoin adds this quirk:
        n = n.wrapping_add(1 << shift);
        shift += 7;
    }

    None
}

I have decompress_amount

pub fn decompress_amount(x: u64) -> u64 {
    if x == 0 {
        return 0;
    }
    let mut x = x - 1;
    let e = x % 10;
    x /= 10;
    let mut n;
    if e < 9 {
        let d = (x % 9) + 1;
        x /= 9;
        n = x * 10 + d;
    } else {
        n = x + 1;
    }
    for _ in 0..e {
        n *= 10;
    }
    n
}

I’m sure I get only UTXO entries

pub fn decode_utxo_key(mut key: &(u8)) -> Option<(Vec, u32)> {
    if key.is_empty() || key(0) != b'C' {
        return None;
    }
    key = &key(1..);
    let txid = key.get(..32)?.to_vec();
    key = &key(32..);
    let (vout, _) = decode_varint(key)?;
    Some((txid, vout as u32))
}

But for some reason, my key shows a TXID that is different from the block height.

Key: `byteskey((67, 0, 0, 0, 0, 236, 58, 152, 94, 229, 61, 50, 239, 22, 75, 88, 246, 154, 181, 7, 146, 209, 249, 113, 25, 180, 120, 10, 150, 150, 112, 118, 209, 0), 98, 112, 112, 118, 209, 095, 112 43, 211, 164, 127, 45, 124, 28, 164, 166, 210, 240, 182, 238, 220, 41, 24, 211, 153, 185, 205, 199))))

TXID: f349b3a497e29738638c27654d3125deb8d90702dc51ab3bc993370900000000

Block 684,608 TXID

I’m getting the XOR obfuscation key:

    let read_opts = ReadOptions::new();
    let xor_iter = db.iter(read_opts);
    let mut obfuscation_key: Vec = Vec::new();

    for (key, value) in xor_iter {
        if key.0.starts_with(&(0x0e)) {
            obfuscation_key = value;
            break;
        }
    }

This returns a decoded value byte as follows: (52, 148, 23, 67, 104 , 115, 134, 222, 130, 10, 78, 153, 93, 115, 228, 159, 196, 86, 17, 179, 224, 72, 222, 228, 185, 255, 26, 46, 229, 73, 140, 125, 129, 241, 246, 106, 170, 3, 94, 35)

But 52 is clearly not the correct byte for block 684,608.

What’s missing?
