Despite a rollercoaster few years that have seen the Bitcoin price hit multiple new all-time highs, other high-cap cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin have failed to do the same. In fact, the highest the Dogecoin price has gotten in the last three years is $0.5, which is still a ways away from the $0.74 figure that was hit back in 2021. Calls for $1 for the meme coin have also died down as it continues to decline and struggle along with the rest of the altcoin market.

Can Dogecoin Price Reach $1?

When it comes to the Dogecoin price, expectations continue to falter, especially as the price remains low with resistance mounting at $0.2. To reach the $1 mark, the price would have to rally by 500% from its current level, and with trading volumes and interest so low, the possibility of this happening grows dimmer by the day.

In the same vein, the algorithm at CoinCodex has also followed the bearish school of thought, with a drawn-out timeframe for when it expects the Dogecoin price to hit $1. According to the algorithm, the Dogecoin price will not be hitting the $1 level in the year 2025, or anytime soon after that.

The predictions show that the highest level the Dogecoin price could reach this year is $0.289. As the year moves forward, it expects the price to trend lower, not seeing more than a 54% price increase after the month of September.

Nevertheless, it does expect the price to be higher than where it is now, with an average 25% increase from the current level. It also signals the current level as a buy point with the possibility of making around a 35% increase in the month of June.

DOGE Won’t Hit $1 Until After 2030

The longer-term predictions for the Dogecoin price show more recovery for the price. But reaching the $1 level is not something that the algorithm believes will happen in the next half a decade. In fact, from 2025 through to 2030, it predicts that the Dogecoin price will not rise to its current all-time high of $0.74.

For those waiting for the Dogecoin price to hit $1, it shows that the price will hit this level sometime after 2030, putting it above $1 in 2040. This could mean that the meme coin would take almost a decade to reach the coveted $1 target.

However, in the short term, the algorithm does see some positive prospects for the Dogecoin price. It predicts that DOGE will rise to $0.236 in the next month, which would be a 17.67% increase from the current level.

Over the years, the YouTube suggestion algorithm has become pretty complex. I’ve noticed that it can extrapolate my tastes very well based on my watch history, continuously tempting me to consume more videos. For example, I recently watched a live clip of The Prodigy at Coachella. My home screen feed then filled up with not only concert clips from other shows by The Prodigy, but also other artists that I enjoy, such as Nine Inch Nails, St. Vincent, Air, and more. Notably, these artists sound nothing like The Prodigy, but the algorithm is smart enough to assume that my tastes will align with them based on my watch history. I’m not going to lie: I had to stop myself from spending all day watching live concert clips.

This is impressive and something Google has probably spent millions of dollars refining, as it keeps people glued to YouTube and fueling the money-printing machine that it’s become. Curiously, while the algorithm is intelligent enough to do that, it is still completely inept at something else: understanding when I search for a video not because I’m deeply interested in the topic, but because I need help doing a specific task. Even now, in 2025, this still seems to throw the algorithm for a loop.

The YouTube algorithm and one-time tasks

Leather Boot Repair (1 of 1)

Let me give you a real-world example of the algorithm’s deficiency. I have a pair of expensive German leather boots that I wear nearly every day and love with all my heart. Since I wear them so much, they undergo quite a bit of wear and tear. In the past, I’ve taken them to a cobbler for a refresh every few years, but here in California, that is expensive — and not getting any cheaper. I figured it can’t be that difficult to do annual maintenance on my boots by myself, and doing so would certainly save me money.

I went straight to YouTube with this thought. I searched for “leather boot refresh” and found dozens of high-quality videos going over the tools, polishes, conditioners, and other materials needed for this task, as well as step-by-step instructions. I watched one video — just one! — and knew I could do this myself. I bought the products the video suggested, and when they had all arrived, I re-watched the same video several times as I followed its instructions. My boots look great now — they’re like new!

Watching one ‘How To’ video about a particular topic should not be enough for the algorithm to flood your feed with other ‘How To’ videos on that topic.

One would think that the YouTube algorithm would understand that this process I went through is not at all similar to watching a live concert clip. I am not interested in buying leather boots. I am not looking for other tips on fixing my boots. I am not going to open a cobbler shop. I had a one-time problem — refreshing my boots — and used one YouTube video to solve that problem. If I ever need help again, I’ll search for it (or just watch the same video once more).

Despite how obvious this would seem, this didn’t stop the algorithm from filling my home page with other videos about refreshing leather boots. Seriously, for a few days after I did the refresh, roughly half of my home page was videos related to leather, boots, or cobbler things. Shouldn’t we be beyond this by now? Shouldn’t the algorithm be able to tell the difference between video hours spent watching stuff I enjoy and hours spent using YouTube as a tool?

This makes me want to use YouTube less, not more

Remember how I had to hold myself back from bingeing entire concerts after watching just one Coachella clip? That’s what has made YouTube so successful. Unfortunately, this problem — its inability to prevent itself from suggesting irrelevant content based on one-time needs — actively makes the home page worse, working against its success. In other words, my feed being covered with boot videos makes me want to navigate away from YouTube. It’s the exact opposite of Google’s intentions!

Has the YouTube algorithm filled your feed with ‘How To’ content before?

Based on this, one would think that Google would prioritize preventing this issue. However, given that YouTube has been around for 20 years (man, I’m old) and this problem still exists, it clearly isn’t as much of a priority for Google as I would think.

You’d think Google would want to fix this, considering it makes my home feed less addicting.

To Google’s credit, a little more than a week after this happened, my feed cleared all references to boots and leather. It seems the algorithm is smart enough now to understand that I didn’t click on any of its suggestions, so I’m not really interested in more boot videos. But what if this wasn’t something related to boot repair, and instead something more sensitive? What if I went to YouTube for a solution to a health-related issue, and suddenly my feed was a beacon to anyone who wants to know about my medical condition? What if I watched a video about how to solve a marital problem, and my feed became filled with other videos about marital problems I am not having? YouTube should be working for us, not against us.

But now, there’s an AI-powered solution on the table, and it comes from an unexpected place. Motorola just introduced the playlist generator I’ve been waiting for, and I think it just might get me to rethink my relationship with Spotify. Here’s why.

When OEMs decide it’s finally time to enter the AI race, they seem to do so with a familiar set of features. There are almost always tools to help you write better, keep you more organized, and generate images based on prompts or photos of your family and friends. Motorola is no exception. It’s come up with clever ways to take notes and voice recordings on your new Razr, and its Image Studio falls right in the sweet spot between Google’s Pixel Studio and Samsung’s Portrait Studio.

However, the feature that I think people will like to use most is the Playlist Studio. It’s a lot like an image generator in that you feed it prompts and spit back creations, but instead of a single image (or a series of images), you get a customized playlist of around ten songs to stream and save.

Motorola’s go-to example during our short time with the Razr 2025 series was to ask for “Y2K pizza party jams,” which might have been a little before my time, but it’s hard to argue with Beyonce’s Crazy in Love or Nelly’s Hot in Herre. I chose not to subject the briefing crowd to my preferred flavor of sad music, but I fully plan to test the feature further once I have time to dig deeper into the Razr Ultra in my day-to-day life.

Who knew a playlist generator without years of data would work so well?

Of course, Motorola isn’t the first to create an AI-powered playlist generator. Spotify debuted something similar in beta testing in early 2024 for subscribers in the UK and Australia before eventually expanding it to other English-speaking countries. I’ve since tried the feature (which remains in beta testing), and it works pretty well. However, it falls into the same problem that most of my other Spotify playlists suffer: It already knows my tastes too well.

For example, I pulled up Spotify’s AI Playlists menu, asked for “sad songs that would fit in the woods,” and got a playlist of 30 songs that are almost all on my Spotify-generated Moody Mix already, and I didn’t even have to ask for that one. I might not get as many songs at one time on Motorola’s side, but I’m weirdly grateful that the Playlist Studio is going in without an idea of my taste.

There’s just one little problem with exclusivity

Unfortunately, there’s one sticking point to all the neat things I love about Motorola’s Playlist Studio: It only works with Amazon Music. Yes, that music streaming service that sits in a distant third place behind Spotify and Apple Music in terms of how many people I know who use it. I have a premium subscription thanks to my ongoing Amazon Prime membership, but I don’t think I’ve ever touched the platform outside of the few weeks I use a Fire tablet each year.

So, that means I either have to give Amazon Music another chance, trust Spotify to improve its AI algorithm (my hopes aren’t high), or go back and manually create everything that the Playlist Studio cooks up by hand. For now, I think I’ll wind up doing the latter, as it allows me to keep my existing podcast subscriptions, liked songs, and I’m already logged into Spotify on somewhere near 15 or 20 devices — not that I’m proud of that.

But honestly, if Motorola really wants to push people to use its Playlist Studio — and I really want to use its Playlist Studio — it will have to open the feature up a bit. Motorola packed its new Razrs with support for Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini, and its own AI-powered features, so it should be able to export playlists to Spotify and YouTube Music at the very least. When that day comes, I’ll be more than happy to generate and share playlists until you’re sick of them — and then I’ll even share a few more.

The Ethereum price could face another significant crash, as the machine learning algorithm, CoinCodex, predicts a sharp decline toward $1,500. After enduring four consecutive months of sideways trading and bearish closes, technical indicators and sentiment data are flashing warning signs of an impending correction in the coming weeks.  

Ethereum Price Crash To $1,526 Incoming

According to CoinCodex’s latest Ethereum price prediction, ETH is expected to decline by 16.47% over the coming weeks, potentially reaching $1,526.06 by June 2, 2025. This bearish projection comes amidst a turbulent market cycle in which investor sentiment and confidence have wavered due to rising macroeconomic pressures and unexpected declines in Bitcoin.

Notably, Ethereum’s technical outlook continues to deteriorate as it just wrapped up its fourth consecutive monthly red candle. Cryptorank’s data shows that Ethereum experienced a dip of 1.27% in January, followed by sharper losses of 32.2% in February and 18.4% in March. The downtrend continued into April, with the cryptocurrency closing the month in red with another 1.58% decline.

Despite brief intra-month rallies that saw its value rise sharply, Ethereum has consistently failed to sustain gains, closing each month with rising selling pressure and leading the wider market drawdown. CoinCodex’s data further paints a grim picture, highlighting that the top altcoin has recorded 16 green days out of the last 30, signaling unstable market strength. Its price volatility, measured at 6.43%, also reflects a choppy market that lacks clear bullish conviction. 

Moving forward, CoinCodex not only predicts that Ethereum could break down to $1,526 but also expects a steeper price crash to $1,447.96 by August 1, 2025. This would represent a decline of approximately 20.75% from current market prices.

The machine learning algorithm has declared that broader market sentiment for ETH is currently bearish, implying that traders and investors still anticipate further corrections and limited upward momentum in the near term. Overall, this indicates a cautious outlook for Ethereum’s price prospects.

CoinCodex Says Now Is A Bad Time To Buy ETH

Given its bearish forecast for the Ethereum price, CoinCodex suggests that now may not be the best time to buy Ethereum. Interestingly, while investor sentiment remains cautious, the Fear and Greed index is at 65, reflecting a state of “Greed” and suggesting that market optimism may be outpacing the underlying bearish fundamentals.

Coincodex’s machine learning algorithm predicted that the Dogecoin price could surge 229.55% to $0.57. The algorithm also revealed when the foremost meme coin could reach this price target. 

Machine Learning Algorithm Predicts Dogecoin Price Surge To $0.57

The machine learning algorithm predicted that the Dogecoin price could surge $0.57 by April 28, later this month, representing a 229.55% gain for the foremost meme coin. This bullish prediction comes despite DOGE’s decline, thanks to the broader crypto market crash, led by Bitcoin, which is attempting to test new lows. 

As Bitcoinist reported, the Dogecoin price also just witnessed its worst Q1 return in seven years, recording a loss of 47%. Coincodex’s machine learning algorithm also noted that the current sentiment is bearish according to technical indicators, while the Fear and Greed index indicates fear among market participants.

Despite the current bearish sentiment, crypto analyst Javon Marks has also made a similar prediction to the machine learning algorithm. In an X post, he predicted that DOGE could record a 270% rally to $0.65. The analyst noted that the foremost meme coin is holding another set of higher lows and that a surge in price to higher levels has occurred each time this has happened.

Meanwhile, crypto analyst Master Kenobi predicted that the Dogecoin price could reach the much-anticipated $1 level by June. This came as he noted that the meme coin was mirroring a bullish pattern from the 2017 bull run. Based on this, he believes that DOGE could reach this price level in the second phase of its bull run. He suggested that Dogecoin is about to enter this second phase, predicting a similar breakout to the one that occurred in September last year. 

A DOGE Rebound Is Coming

In an X post, crypto analyst Trader Tardigrade stated that a J-shaped rebound is coming for the Dogecoin price. He noted that DOGE hit its current all-time high (ATH) after accumulation and retraced back. Now, the analyst affirmed that it is time for the foremost meme coin to rebound. His accompanying chart showed that Dogecoin could hit a new ATH of $3.7 following this bullish reversal.  

Commenting on the current price action, crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that the Dogecoin price is trading at the lower boundary of a parallel channel. At the same time, he revealed that the TD Sequential indicator printed a buy signal on the weekly chart, suggesting that the foremost meme coin could soon rebound. His accompanying chart showed that DOGE could reach the mid-range of this channel at $4.  

At the time of writing, the Dogecoin price is trading at around $0.17, up over 1% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

CoinCodex has shared a price prediction for Dogecoin, signaling potential long-term gains for the number one meme coin. For its 2025 price prediction, the machine learning algorithm has shared Dogecoin’s next major targets for the next few months. 

The machine learning algorithm expects Dogecoin to experience a 170.4% rally compared to current rates, potentially pushing the meme coin’s value to a $0.7 price high and an average of $0.44. Notably, CoinCodex has acknowledged that its bullish projection for March comes after Dogecoin’s severe price decline in the past few months. This means that the machine learning algorithm expects a strong reversal before the end of this month.

After its potential surge in March, Dogecoin is forecasted to correct down to $0.59, reflecting a 261.6% increase from its current market price. From May to December 2025. CoinCodex also predicts a gradual decline from Dogecoin’s March peak. Despite this, the meme coin’s projected price for each month would still be higher than its current market value of $0.17. 

In 2026, Dogecoin is predicted to trade within a price channel between $0.139 and $0.23. This marks a significant decline from the previous year. Nevertheless, CoinCodex has stated that the most bullish period for Dogecoin in 2026 would be in January. By that time, the meme coin is expected to surge 45.6% higher than its current market price. 

The machine learning algorithm highlights that 2027 will be a bearish year for Dogecoin. The meme coin is forecasted to crash to new lows of $0.14 in September and hit a price high of $0.18 in November. Fortunately, DOGE’s price is expected to rebound in 2028 and continue this bullish trend until 2029. By 2030, the meme coin is projected to experience considerable growth, with an expected trading range between $0.18 and $0.41. 

Shiba Inu Price Prediction From 2025-2030

For the next few months of 2025, the Shiba Inu price is projected to experience slow growth, with its highest surge expected in August. Before the end of March, CoinCodex predicts that SHIB will experience a 19.16% price rally to reach a $0.000026 price high and an average of $0.000015.

From April to July, the meme coin is expected to undergo a gradual correction, trading slightly above the $0.00001 threshold. By August, CoinCodex projects that Shiba Inu will skyrocket by 337%, potentially pushing it between the range of $0.000011 to $0.000053. This bullish momentum is expected to continue in the next month, declining slightly by October before jumping again to trade between the range of $0.000019 and $0.000028 by November and December 2025.  

In 2026, Shiba Inu is projected to trade between $0.000011 and $0.000026, signaling a significant decrease from its previous year. Similar to Dogecoin, CoinCodex predicts that SHIB will be bearish in 2027 but recover slightly by 2028. This bullish trend is expected to continue until 2029 and rapidly increase in 2030.
