ZachXBT, one of the leading independent researchers in the crypto world, issued an important warning to the community.
According to the statement, a fake application published under the name Hyperliquid was detected on the Google Play Store.
These applications are developed by scammers and aim to deceive users by using the same name and images, even though they are not official Hyperliquid mobile applications.
ZachXBT noted that these fake apps circumvent Google Play’s standard security filters and urged users to be extra careful when downloading them. According to researchers, this scam specifically targets new investors and aims to steal wallet information. After downloading the app, the user is asked to connect to a crypto wallet, which then steals the user’s assets.
One of the fake apps appearing on Google Play appears to be from a developer named “Tvtion, Inc.” Try to build user trust with a professional design. However, the Hyperliquid team has repeatedly stated that the platform does not yet have an official mobile app.
Do not download any application that claims to be a “mobile application” without announcing it through official Hyperliquid channels.
