Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange BitGet has announced that it is expanding its operations to include tokenized stocks, gold and other products. Ignacio Aguirre Franco, Bitget’s chief marketing officer (CMO), said the move aims to attract customers who want to trade these assets without the constraints of traditional markets.
Bitget expands from its crypto roots to debut tokenized stock trading
Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget is in the midst of a new expansion that will see it transform into an all-in-one exchange that includes tokenized stocks and gold as part of its reconfiguration.
According to Ignacio Aguirre Franco, Bitget’s CMO, the company’s new goal is to combine defi with the traditional, centralized world of limited ways of operating, giving customers the best of both worlds.
In an interview with Valor Economico, director Aguirre Franco said:
Something good will happen. We would like to offer you more. We’re an ecosystem where you can access everything people do without having to move from one app to another. Today this is very easy in defi.

The company sees value in becoming an all-inclusive app that offers these services on one platform, similar to what other exchanges, including Robinhood, are doing. Nevertheless, given Bitget’s crypto roots, the company sees opportunity in combining these approaches with ease of use in mind.
“Ease of use is what brings people to the platform. That is why we operate decentralized exchanges on centralized exchanges. After all, when you enter the decentralized world, the user interface is difficult and it is not easy to attract new users,” Franco Aguirre emphasized.
Aguirre was brought in in November to bring Bitget’s universal exchange philosophy under one roof, which is now part of the philosophy of many crypto companies to keep customers in their ecosystems.
